Soul Calibur 5 Guest/Bonus/CAS Character Discussion

Still...it would be a first.
yeah. I forgot when FF XIII-2 comes out but if it comes out next year SC might receive Noel (I think his name was. well anyway the new guy) quite well. I'll be okay with anyone as long as they are balanced/fun to play with as much as a challenge to face.

You mean him? Noel_Kreiss.png
He looks to be a good addition.

...And CAS has BETTER let us use his style.

The new Dante imho is fucking horrible

If DMC must be give me the classic Dante
or, even more fitting, Sparda(tough waaaay less popular)

Btw if Capcom promoting must be at this point give us Asura from Asura's Wrath, and make him fight bare hands :D

I think we have a winner. Isn't Cyberconnect 2 involved with SC5 development somehow? Like doing the animations or something? Welllll, Cyberconnect 2 is also the developer of Asura's Wrath...which also is coming out next year. Ding ding ding!

Is Asura high profile enough? I honestly have never heard of him until this thread :/ Still, that could just be me.
It's possible it might be a hugely anticipated game in Japan? I dunno, it just completely makes sense in terms of cross promotion that a character or two from Asura's Wrath are included in SC5 since the developer of Asura's Wrath also is working on SC5.

While Bayonetta is NOT a Guest i will like to see in SC5, about ruin the athmosphere and throw it into shit you can't do worse than SW chars in SC4
She is even more over the top than any jedi force choke or force push could ever be but if a chick with hair covering her body and guns attached to her boots is easier to fit in SC than some force mix-ups and light sabers, I guess we can hope for The Hulk or Kid Buu to make an apperence too.

Hey! She doesn't always have guns attached to her boots! Sometimes she has magical ice skates too! But seriously, the only thing (In my opinion) that would keep her from fitting into the SC universe is the time period of the two different games. She does have weapons other than guns and her witch hair.

Not that I want Bayonetta to be the guest. Because I don't.

Oh hell no. I hate that bitch.

But I must be one of the only ones who won't totally go bitch-fit over Bayonetta in the game. So that's good. I mean, I just find it nice that she uses pistols like steel boxing gloves instead of using them to shoot things, which I think, is worthy of a gameplay slot in SC.

Not too sure about the whole hair thing and the nudity, but that was only partial, but why worry about that when you have Ivy and Tira and most recently, Viola in the game, and with the game's CaS, why even bother? The only thing that would ever set apart Bayonetta at M-rated and SC as T-rated is the foul language and the gore. (AKA, Mortal Kombat...?)

Also, on the topic of Final Fantasy making it, I've just watched the new "Despair" trailer for FFXIII-2, and whaddya know...

New villian "Kaias" has a twisty and fleshy, black and purple weapon that has an uncanny resemblance to Soul Edge.Is it suspicious, or is it suspicious?

It is confirmed that Namco and Tecmo are working together on a project right now. To me that suggests Ryu Hayabusa. Any thoughts?

ryu's already in a fighting game. I don't think anyone has been put in multiple fighting games to my knowledge. especially big ones.
Yoshimitsu? But yeah, I doubt it's Ryu as well, he's already got DOA 5 and Ninja Gaiden 3 coming out next year. Ryu has enough exposure, putting him in SC5 probably wouldn't cause any of the three games sell any more units. My money is still on Asura.

like that guy above said,Hayabusa is not only NG,but DoA too

Namco may don't want pubblicize a main char of a competitor series, even if the two company at the moment are "friends"

But maybe they think the reward is enough to risk,at the end SCV is near (1st Q 2012),where DoA5 just got announced/showed

From Tecmo-Koei i will still watch in DW direction btw

And again, Namco and Capcom are waaay more connected

I got it! Claire Redfield from Resident Evil. JK she has more of a chance appearing in DOA5 as a hitomi like fighter.

What I meant was more than 2 fighting games. Yoshi just has tekken and SC. what's Asura from again?

Asura is from a game coming out called "Asura's Wrath" which is coming out next year as well and is being developed by Cyberconnect2. Cyberconnect2, from what I recall, is also doing some part of development for SC5. I'm pretty sure Daishi or Tago said Cyberconnect2 was doing the animations for SC5.

Seems like the most likely cross promotion. Asura's Wrath is an action/fighting/crazybananas game. Look up some trailers and video, you'll see how it could be potentially cool to have Asura.

OH, that guy? I sure hope not. I would only go as far as putting him in a dragon ball Z or God of War game but nothing else.

If you start watching at around 1:30 you can see the potential for them bringing the 2 chars to SC5.

no. I can't see it. I don't see it. this is Dragon ball z stuff straight up. nothing Soul Calibur at all. doesn't mean he pulls out a sword doesn't automatically make him SC material. This is insulting the series to even compare the two. sorry man but this is a no can do. fatal Exodus hit the nail on the head by what I see and what's he's brought to us so far.
