Has anyone found any gameplay vids of Nightmare yet? I know Jaxel has the Ezio vs. Raph and Leixia vs. Viola vids up. Just wondering if anyone discovered any of Nightmare.

You can hear something like "this is the enough" when he does the stabbing+lightning move, Its muffled but I hope not distorted like in SC4...

On that note, I like the new slashing sounds he has, its like grinding metal.
 
I agree about the sound. I'm less happy about the lightning strike sound though. The impact of it doesn't "tremble" as much.
 
Nightmare says "take this" in a distinctly male voice while hitting the enemy. Also, the bio saying him.

Graf Dumas, huh? Earl/Count Dumas. Hmm.

Dumas is french, and I heard Raph was dead but came back to life somehow... Raph's body, perhaps? Just snowballing here.

The only thing he said was "This is enough!". He sounded demonic like he did in SCIV, though his voice isn't as inverted.
 
I hope the fleshy sound the eye makes is ingame and not just added to the trailer

The wiki says nightmare has a new host, like a reset after the sigfried failure.
 
I can imagine a cutscene between Nightmare and Siegfried already. the two will duke it out, and Nightmare overpowers him. Then Patroklos jumps in, screaming at the top of his voice that he is justice to saaaave the day.

If there's one consistency between Soul games - its that Siegfried overall is ALWAYS a stronger character than the equivalent Nightmare, so I think I'll stay =P

Rubbish. NM was better in SC3 and SC4... Sieg was better in SC3 AE though.
 
I beg to differ - Sieg is ahead of NM in SCIV, granted, he has a death matchup, but overall he fairs better against the entire cast than NM tbh =/.
As for SCIII, I only played AE, lol. (never could afford a ps2 when I was younger =( )

Regarding SCIV - allow me to elaborate:
I count 9 matchups with NM that I would consider a 5:5 or above in his favour:
Voldo 5:5, Maxi 6:4, Mina 7:3, Raphael 6:4, Rock 6:4, Talim 6:4, Tira 6:4, Yun 6:4, Zas 6:4.

I count 12 with Siegfried:
Maxi 6:4, Mina 7:3, Rock 8:2, Taki 6:4, Talim 6:4, Tira 5:5, Xianghua 5:5, Yun6:4, Zas 6:4, Raphael 5:5, Mitsurugi 5:5, (CONTRAVERSIAL HERE) Amy 5:5.

I will say that matchups around the 5:5 area are pretty subjective to personal opinion, but that's how these two badasses stack up to me... =/
NM and Sieg are god tier in the manliness chart at least, lol.

*Edit* Make that 10 with NM - I forgot Siegfried - 6:4 to NM imo.

Are we seriously going to debate tiers here? Fine.

I say NM vs Amy is 5:5, NM vs Ivy 5:5, NM vs everyone is around 5:5 cept for X, Yoshi (cannot comment don't know enough of the matchup), Taki, Hilde, Yoda (Ironically) and Sets. I believe he is 6:4 vs Cass, 5:5 vs Sophie (he doesn't have Sieg's weakness against Sophie, able to punish Sophie's Linearity extremely well). 6:4 Apprentice, 5:5 Vader, 5:5 Asta.

I personally think Raph rapes Sieg, Yun is 5:5 against Sieg too.

Dude was a firm believer in the occult arts so within the Soul Calibur universe context it's not out of the question that he would have taken Nightmare as an advisor. Also, his mistakes led directly to the Thirty Years' War...like listening to a guy who would directly benefit from all the death a war would produce. SoulCalibur back to being entwined with history? YES.

You seem to have the bad habit of saying things which start tier debates it seems lol.
