This game is not balanced and that's just how it is. If you knowingly choose to play a shitty character and lose, you have no valid excuse except that you're stubborn and/or stupid.

Dude, if you got beat by Yoda online, you suck, it was laggy, or both.
This game is not balanced and that's just how it is. If you knowingly choose to play a shitty character and lose, you have no valid excuse except that you're stubborn and/or stupid.
And if I win? Does it make you look all the more worse for losing to a bottom tier with a mid/high tier?
This is an attitude that I absolutely despise. Nothing more than another way of trying validate oneself over a silly fucking game.
Low tiers win on ignorance or due to a gap in skill between opponents.
It's irrevelant. I already know if I lose with a Low tier I won't go making excuses how bad my character is. Then again if I do win I won't go shoving it in your face.
If you lose, you lose. It doesn't matter if it's character ignorance, Skill gap, lag tacts, whatever. You lost. Simple matter of the fact.
It's the players fault for not studying every character's moveset. So character ignorance is really more or less Human error. Same with skill gap.
Shadow, it does matter. I wish I could say this game were balanced proudly, but I would be an ignorant fool to think such. As a result, many of us have to tell a sweet candy coated lie(which I hate doing) to certain people who are still new at the game. This does not mean we're being condescending or spiteful with any intent to harm. But we can only leave it at "it's balanced with it's low tiers and high tiers" since some people are still dreaming that someone like Yoda can win a tourney for instance. It's when they lose valiantly when they realize "I was a fool for trying to be a low tiered hero". Hence in a tournament, the goal is win with the best tools suited for you. Bringing a Rock to a tourney fight is like bringing a knife to a gunfight. That's not to say you shouldn't rep Rock at a tourney, but you are warned that people really want to win. And they will use all their best tools to outshine yours knowing the ins and out of whatever opponent since they pride on "making it to the top" simply.
Shadow Collector:
I really think you should listen to what Khent says on this one. I don't know anyone else who can make Seong Mi-na look like a powerful character when she is, in all respects, flaming hot garbage. I've seen this guy want to tear his hair out with frustration trying to pull out wins against better characters. I know for a FACT that he has put over 30 times as much work into this game than I have, but when I fight him I still know that I just have to deal with Mi-na.
Granted, Khent is a scary player, but Mi-na is not a scary character, and that makes ALL the difference in a match. If you want to take human error out of it, all you have left is the character, and it's Mi-na vs. Voldo. There isn't a lot to be happy about for Mi-na there.
snip.
They actually nerfed Raphael =P
Hey, forget about it man - SCV is what SCIV should have been - lets just look ahead with optimism! =)
I try man. Hopefully SCV will be more forgiving to the bottom and mid tiers this time around.
