Siegfried SCV Non-Gameplay Related Discussion

After watching the latest footage, Siegs CE is not trash, you just dont know how to use it, if use correctly it can be implemented into a combo then stun on the floor leaving the opponent open for a B4B maybe? or just the good old 66B, anyhow I think u are not using it right. Then again after watching this I'm even more convinced about what Ring said

What you have to consider is that at best, compared to most characters, ice beam's properties are 'meh', but his BE's are really good - CE's are expensive man, I just don't see how neglecting his strong BE's to save up for an average CE is worth it myself.
Less so as it seems that Sieg needs his BE's anyway in SCV so to effectively fight without acess to your good stuuf to save up for a high damage combo seems a little daft as you could easily make up CE combo damage with 2 BE combos, general poking and using metre as is necessary from what I've seen - that's the main issue IMO... =/
 
U have a good point, however I do still think that the CE has potential and after everyone stops complaining and start using it, then things for the CE will look better I think.

Anyways, regardless the CE, Sieg looks so OP not sure if I love it or hate it
 
That was only my first impression, don't take it too seriously. Siegfried seems to be buffed massively compared to SCIV mainly because of his incredible damage on NH, 3B BE and some other new stuff. Perhaps later in the game we will figure him out and he will become weaker but at the moment most people that I spoke to on PGW think of him as a very strong character.

As of now, we know very little about the characters. For example, I think that new Ivy is trash but she might as well end up a top tier again (hopefully not). Time will tell.

Yeah, Panto. You just don't know how to use it. Listen to people that have watched some videos of that ish. I mean it's not like you actually got to play the game for several hours against other top players, nu-uh. And we totally didn't see the move randomly whiff and deal crap dmg for the meter cost at all. What do you say, conserving meter for his BEs? What are you talking about?! It's not like those are any good at all! Blow all that meter for the CE as air combo follow-up! What's that? Recovery time too long? Inconsistency as follow-up against airborne opponents? That's crazy talk, yo! You should watch some videos of SCV Siegfried, then you'd know what's up!
 
I will think twice before stating my opinions on early tiers but...

He can combo CE of SRSH K?! Broken.

More fuel to my claim :)

I'll play him... That's all there is to it... I imagine that the bandwagon will be riding high at the beginning, but will level off just like in 4... He'll still be slightly more popular... But in my opinion there will be several killers in this game and for the most part only the real sieg players will remain after it's all said and done.

Yeah I think you guys are forgetting how fucking crazy some of those other characters are... I'm worried about my boy Pat :(

I might be one those guys that picks up Sieg a little more seriously now that he has options, damage, and range effectiveness that he should have had in IV (plus agA spam is fun). Trying to space pokes with him when other characters in many cases had better range and options at any given spacing was too much of a headache for me.
 
I really like the stance roullete game play options used on the streaming; it give me a lot of hope about my chances to be really competitive in SCV; to me Soul Project is trying to give us a character that is strong in wise and expert hands; due to high damage most people are scared of this early SCV's Siegfried, but I guess that in the future it will only get worst ;D... the chance to CE any grounded opponent is really cool and add more okizeme options! so most of people will try to evade the "possible" CE in the last moment with a force ukemi... maybe I will wait for them with a 1B instead ;D...

I'm happy right now... and you know WHY!!

He IS, He WILL be STRONGER from now to the final version; the subtle changes in his new gameplay plus the new game mechanics will add more STRENGTH to his almost perfect mid-spacing game. I can't really decide about pick Siegfried as my main in SCV... HE chose ME and I will be attached to his path FOREVER.
