Most useless move

Perhaps. I would like you to make a video of you fighting a tourney player with Tira in gloomy state and try to pull this move :4::4::B: off on them......... LOL I can tell you that you will have a 2% out of a 100% chance of landing this attack on them. It's slow on execution and easy to read.

Can also be easily avoided and guarded against. This move is also suppose to guard impact people, but the chances of doing that with this move is at 2% out of a 100%........ LOL

I want to see you guard impact them with this move or stun them with it.

BTW I don't play agressive with Tira...... I never play with any character the same way. There is obviously indeed a big difference between Mitsurugi and Tira...... LOL
I admit it isnt the greatest thing in the world, but if you can Gi with it 100%, its an easy stun.

onlywingedangel smart thread! We can bust everyone who doesn't know what they are talking about :)

I haven't found a use for Nightmare's 22K
Sieg A+B A always felt predictable and useless
Zas A+K because it's slow and high

Zas' B+K. no damage no frame advantage. it's basically a taunt. (SCBD it does some damage though)
Amy's 22(88)K whatever kick.
Talim's 3K. It's just the darnedest, cutest, silliest kick in the game!

after doing some experimenting with this it might be useful for ring out tactics...

try this for example:
nightmare baits GI
opponent GI whiffs
nightmare 4B
opponent goes flying off of ring

the knock back on 4B is insane. I can't really think of any other use for it tho, and the move might take too long to GI-whiff punish properly .. what do you think?

test it out. it works against cornered opponents that are knocked into a wall.

I would say that 4B isn't great because it doesn't have anything that his other launchers/"heavy hitters" can't already do.

- 66B is safe, faster than 4B and combos.
- 66/33A safe, faster than 4B combos into GS KK if they don't tech.
- 33B unsafe but good damage potential.
- 3B same as 33B but only -14 and faster.

Additionally, 4B is i38, making it extremely slow (even for post GI situations) :(

I agree with pretty much everything here, except, is there a move that has farther knockback range? This might be why the move lacks in other areas

and just for fun debate, usage at tip range during wake up might actually make the GB worth while? :P

66B probably knocks back just as much (if not a little less or more), is like 10 frames faster, and is just about the same on block.

66A is pushes out a lot too.

It might work, but since hitting your opponent while grounded seems to be impossible in this game (unless you are Amy, Ivy Voldo etc...), it's probably better to close in make your opponent do something/do nothing and score a free grab attempt if they get up. Also I wouldn't be surprised if you could just roll the move on reaction.

Granted, but why not 66B there? The problem is NM has quite a few moves that serve 4B's purpose, but significantly better IMO.
Then again, as much as I love NM, I never had much aptitude with him - I'm WAY too agressive with him. =/

As for Voldo LF A+B, I believe it catches tech after CH LF B?

Focusing on the three characters I use in IV...

Nightmare has a retarded 2B+K that has less range than just about any attack I can think of. His 3A2A is only useful in wall splat combos and can be blocked on reaction online 3 bar. 4B is another move that works in situations but is overall pretty poor. 2B+K is awful and one of the worst moves in the game.

Yoshimitsu has a shitpotfull of useless moves but that's what you get when you have more moves than every other member of the cast put together. (manji blood petals just frame is manly as fuck though)

Cervantes 22_88B (I believe it is) looks pretty cool but is not practical in any situation but to taunt an opponent after death. Slow and extremely telegraphed, little damage (even with the tacked on throw). It has to be his worst move.

Let me break it down.

4A+K is the spice of life for Yoshi. But there's about 3 moves I know that just don't have much use at all.

T9 when not special timed is nothing more than just a different taunt imho. All Yoshi does is spin and say something else. This is the only useless move ever....Yoshi has imho.

T8 is next in line, but it has some limited uses for certain combos. Otherwise, Yoshi just waves his hand like Xiaoyu like taunt.

T7 is very linear even though it's a silly move. It's just some jumping unblockable that can be stepped once you know it does nothing.

The rest of the iron fist posession moves have their uses of how silly and fun they are. They're gimmicky, but I know how to use them. But the plain old T9(when you press 4A+K) is the only move you call...."trash".

Any other Yoshi move you have to explore and truly understand he needs his whole moveset to conquer foes.
