[Dec 3, 2011] North East Championships XII (Philadelphia, PA)

He's Korean, he might not be replacing Kilik ;-P

ah I see. I don't actually believe the "ill fated character" is gone, but I think Xiba as far as game mechanics go will be the current Kilik move set swap. I'm just curious if Xiba will be playable at NEC so it would give me more incentive to go other than UMvC3 (btw I can't get mine till Fri) :(

unfortunately, i will not be able to make it to NEC this year. there are issues that have come up that need to be rectified and I must submit.

But I will check the stream and call you guys when I can because I don't want to miss it for the world.

For team north america, let's go with:

Linkrkc -> He's the original Ivy and was the best one before school. No one has better defense than the kid. He's being called upon and no will rise to challenge better than the prodigy.
Thugish -> has established himself in the soul calibur community of possibly being the best player in the world. Thugish is a must have.
DreamKiller -> DK and I steam rolled everyone at the last NEC and he plays Amy. DreamKiller is soul calibur.
Woahhzz - > The one
Mick -> Soul Calibur legend. For the most part, Mick has been in the army and still placed in every tournament. This is the first time he's had a chance to practice in SC4 and he's fed up with Ivy . All I gotta say is watch out.
Lolo -> has been on a roll lately as he is the best Yoshi in the world. At summer jam, he was the most valuable asset for his team as he single handedly took his team to victory. also, he is up there with Woahhzz as the most knowledgable player in North America. Did I also mention gimmicky?

There you have it. 2 kids playing Ivy and 2 Amys. That's who I'd put my money on any day.

Europe: I'll see you guys for sc5 but in the meantime, I got $300 on North America. Just let me know who will match my bet.

Who are you?

Someone that would easily body you in a Sophie mirror. Care to differ? I got money on Vints the next time you two play. SC3 Sophie, SC4 Sophie, SC5 Pyrrha, doesn't fuckin matter.

Hey don't mind me. I'm drunk as shit right now and just talkin shit on every public forum I participate in, be it facebook or 8wayrun or whatever.

Now, I know Link is a legend, and I wasn't around, but before it's decided official I think it's only fair you give Ramon consideration, maybe have link/ramon play for it or something.

And especially if anybody else drops out. Let's hope that doesn't happen, though, because after Ramon/Link or maybe Noface/LP, there's really kind of slim pickings.

Just in case it wasn't directly implied from my last post, I agree completely with the testing thing, especially when he himself was saying he may be too rusty to deserve a spot.

Easily body me? Please. But it doesn't matter since he ain't coming. Guess it will have to wait until SC5.

Well see about link. Everyone from the team should play against him to see where he stands. Otherwise id put LP for the last one.

Why is LP getting consideration when he's beaten nobody, and the people that he could have beat to put him on that next level he lost to. Whatever, I'm whooping his ass at NEC.

As for Link, he hasn't played in who knows how long. At least Noface played in a recent tournament. Put the favoritism aside and see who's stronger at NEC. The decision can be made after the singles tournament. No need to rush in making a decision now.

Well can I get a shot at this. If Oof out then I want that spot to rep Canada.

I would agree since this is supposed to be North America Vs Europe. I guess you need to show up and make your case by beating the fuck out of somebody.
