Pyrrha Movelist Discussion/Analysis

in the new stream mitsu JG her 66B and she blocked his follow up... But it is very side steppable, I don't think it tracks in either direction.
I think it was punished with Leixia AA which if anything like Xianghua AA would be faster than all Mitsu's moves in IV.

I'm pretty sure it was in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vf1TlTQFJE
But the owner made it private. I actually don't know how I'd go about getting around that.

well on JG thats not bad at all, Im going to cry if Tiras 4B:B:B isn't fixed and someone just guards the last hit ;-;-;-;-;-;

I don't think safety is an issue with Pyrrah, I think range and maybe combo opportunity/damage output will be one of her weaknesses.

Well, I feel like most characters got a range nerf too so it might balance out still. Maybe I'm used to seeing Sophie's ridiculous damage, but I do think Pyrrha hits pretty softly. Unless we're talking about throws, which all seem way too good for their animation (Except left side throw).

SHHHHHHH!!!!!

sophies throw game was vomit worthy.... let her have her oddly damaging throws.

I still think that 66B will be good because 66A (or even 66~4A which makes 44A come out) may discourage the opponent from stepping (CH 4A into 236B gives nice damage). Not to mention that 66B hits grounded.

Hold up, 66B is a safe, TJ, launching mid that hits grounded? Does it have some drawback like being obnoxiously slow or linear? Does the TJ start early?

Again, any video of 66B having TJ? I can't imagine it at the moment since she keeps her feet on the ground when doing 66B.

yes, it does

linearity is overrated, and it's not that slow... it looks i20-i22
I think the drawback is the lack of other tools Pyrrha has

sad to like this post but yeah pyrrha seems to be lacking in the tools department.

I feel as though we have yet to see all of her brave edges. considering I've only really seen 66B and AS AA brave edges.

Also, 66B doesn't have the range of sophies 66B and is far more linear it seems, so it has its drawbacks.

I am just nervous to see her end product, I hope they are still adding moves in at this point.

I dont like Pyrrha's throws, they all look really weird. The fan service isnt very subtle there is it? I mean a couche driver and "hey fall on top of my boobs" -_- Why namco? give her some good throws like cassandra's or make up some fitting her character like, "oops I'm sorry" type throws.

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!

winning with pyrrha at NEC!

I have a few questions for you:

1. How easy is 236B:4 compared to SC4's

2. How useful is her new 66B?

3. Do you think pyrrha needs to be nerfed?

4. What about her still needs improvement?

5. Any comment on her most useful tools? maybe a top five list?

6. what is her weakest/least useful move?

7. What was your general strategy?

If you paid attention, she's a clumsy and frail girl, so of course she'd be doing leapfrog and letting the enemy fall on her sword.

Ehhh... not quite sure how I feel about Pyrrha's version of heavens arch. I think she coulda done without it, makes her less cute to me Dx and it somehow seems more perverted then Sophie's. But hell it is pretty hot though... I mean I won't use it... unless I'm against a female char cause... thats hawt... lmao

I made this thread to not talk about aesthetics, but since the other threads are gone now I suppose a little discussion doesn't hurt. I would still like to keep this thread talking about move properties for the most part.

Doesn't look very natural, what part of leap frog is clumsy.
It's fine. You want to talk about looking unnatural? Let's talk about Sophie's B+G grab.

I have a feeling I'm not quite talking to someone with competitive play in mind, but you have no reason not to use your command throw. It's harder to break, does more damage, and might give you a more favorable position than your non-command throw.

Personally, I love the new throw animations. The amount of damage they do is unfitting for the animations and for me that's what gives them their charm. "I like it because it's so stupid" pretty much sums up my reasoning, a hard position to defend, but just bear in mind that my name on these boards is also "Lasercakes."

Well maybe its cause I for 1 dont use grapples as a main choice for dealing damage and often will finish a fight without using a single grapple. You can be competitive w/o being grab happy or an anklebiter. So if I dont feel like using 1 grab cause id rather my opponent be a female then so be it, I rarely use grabs anyway and theres other 1s to use besides that 1. And I never said I dont like all her grabs, I find the sword falling grab funny
