Pyrrha Movelist Discussion/Analysis

He could be talking about Aeon/Lizardman. He didn't say it was an unannounced character with that ability.
Hmmm...Aside from what Lasercakes said, I also don't think it would make sense if they were referrin' to a character that has already been revealed because Utoh clearly says "maybe NEXT month". He couldn't have meant Aeon because he was revealed LAST month. Plus, Utoh said that they were goin' to showcase Aeon and the other recently revealed characters later THIS month on their personal dev stream. So unless this is Utoh's clever idea to mindfuck us all, I think it's safe to say that there will be a character with TAS-like double dashes revealed next month.

Also,
I also heard from one of the devs on stream that B+G throw could also give a "clean hit." Does anyone know what that means?
From what I got from Utoh's explanation, the Clean Hit system is basically their take on "randomness" in this game. The Clean Hit system will reward a little extra damage to a character's "signature moves" like Pyrrha's B+G throw, or her 236 B. But it's Pretty much unpredictable whether or not you'll receive a "Clean Hit" from those attacks.

Reading this makes me angry...

not at all!

I have a few questions for you:

1. How easy is 236B:4 compared to SC4's

2. How useful is her new 66B?

3. Do you think pyrrha needs to be nerfed?

4. What about her still needs improvement?

5. Any comment on her most useful tools? maybe a top five list?

6. what is her weakest/least useful move?

7. What was your general strategy?

1. Her 236B:4 JF seems a little harder but with practice it shouldnt be a problem for anyone

2. Her new 66B is GREAT!
@ around 5:50 you can see how to use her 66B. Mostly I used it because it forces them to crouch and whenever you do it after 236B:4 they cant press anything or else they get hit! Also it hits grounded and the EX version of it IS INSANE!

3. Pyrrha isnt overpowered in the slightest sense, she is actually a character JUST like sophie because she can handle ANYTHING you throw at her.

4. i dont think i want anything added to her. Sophie was a perfect character to me and so is Pyrrha

5. Top 5 Moves for Pyrrha
1. 4K - This is sophies 6K from SCIV. I tested it all out and it seems like its either +0 or +1 on block! and its great for grounded opponents
2. A+B - Now that GI costs meter A+B is essential. You never want to do it out of nowhere unless you've managed to see patterns in your opponent. A+B is amazing because you can force your opponent to not finish certain moves, limiting him to only a handful of things!
As you can see, I'm getting my ass handed to me! Until i realize, " Hey... Maybe i can A+B the 2nd hit of his charges" and that's was the end of that match.
3. 66B - As mentioned before it has spots where if used at the right time your opponent is FORCED to block it or get hit and possibly CE'd for it! the Brave Edge for it is Amazing (66B, A+B+K immediately after pressing 66B and not AFTER the 66B is blocked or in the middle of the animation) you get Sophie's old 66B which launches them REALLY friggin high after. From my experimenting with the game you can do 66B (BE), B+K, 236K and it all combo's!
4. 22BAK - Sophie's SC3 2b8BAK! Just think about this for a moment, the notation for it is an 8 way run! So you can literally just sidestep and if you see them whiff just hit the BAK! It does great damage and it tech crouches! YUM!
5. 236B:4 - I mean when would any Sophie/Pyrrha player ever win without this move? the :4 does almost as much as a TASB! And you mother fuckers know how much i love that move!

6. I didn't really find a move that isn't useful what so ever. :)

7. General strategy with her is actually kinda difficult (at least the way i think she needs to be played) with the loss of Step G she can finally thrive! You need to handle her poke game delicately. The way I feel she needs to be played is whittle your opponent down and make sure to keep him locked down with pokes and mixups, then when he is at a decent low life bar, backing off and allowing your opponent to fuck up is KEY! It really just makes them feel hopeless in the fight itself. Also PUNISH PUNISH PUNISH! She does have a great mixup now with her throws so take advantage of EVERYTHING!

If any of this is confusing, just point it out (im not the best writer)

I got some questions for you ramon

How did you feel about BB? Is it better/worse/the same?

Also does 1K seem to be - neutral or + on hit, you were using it a lot and they shortened the range so I wondered if it received a buff.

What uses if any have you thought of for her others BEs?

Well her BB is worst because of the MAJOR damage reduction! but everything else is the same.

1K is - on hit! I did it a lot to nightmare because he's a slow character so it was working a lot, plus i had Dashi scared of A+B

other BE's i didnt experiment too much with besides 236AA(BE) which adds another hit which can hit people out of punishing it! it wasnt thaaat good but its something new!

I find it odd when you say her 236B:4 is more difficult when they stated they were going to make just frames easier.

what about just regular old fall down on them 236B4 non just frame, is there a wider window for that?

yeah i almost never missed the 2nd attack after 236B so maybe they are referring to that being easier? idk i never really fucked up 236b:4 anyways :P so idk

I noticed, you and pyrrha were literally on fire. Maybe that's how the stage you and hilde were on originally caught.

Lame jokes aside I'm not too worried, since you didn't have the game too long, and while you are good at the game already, and with sophitia, its still timed differently I assume. So I think it won't be too hard to get. I can't wait to start stabbing people up!

Vincent - Exactly my thought.

Fuzzie - everything will work out if you practice it all! :)

Also i forgot to tell you that 66B tech jumps! its a small window but it happens!

Yeah 4K is probably +1, your 2A beat someone else's 2A

Which is bananas for a fast mid

W/e, Pat has an advantage mid too (1B)
