new patch is a revision of a lot of major bugs and balance issues... FIXED... I haven't downloaded this yet.. and according to Chang's Friend (another Hong Kong player... it's only available for JP version now..)


anyways.. here's his test results (I got internet +PS3 connection problems + using an american version... he's got all versions even xbox)

i'm sure this is no where the complete list.. but the following nerfs imo... are imo much needed.. some more than others, but in general i agree with all the changes.

These are the stuff he told me...


System Changes
- Soul Crushes are harder to pull off (moves generally take off less from the soul gauge)
- You can JI throws

Ivy:

-SW WS B is FIXED.... it hits TOTALLY different, SW WS B -> BT A+B no longer forward RO and can't follow up with the old combo, so no more infinites..
-whip 6A+B does less damage
- JF CS is easier to do (window is bigger)
- whip 3B worse recover

Algol:

-3B~41236B->3B - damage scaled down to 70 (before was 90)
-if 22B is hit in the air... it no longer provides a stun for 2A+B to bounce juggle
-8A+B in juggles will set them flying backwards... for BT B+K so 33B -> 8A+B -> BT B+K ... it does horrible damage compared to before... he mentioned something like 50? yeah
-66A+G throw pushes further back

Cassandra:
- 66B+K doesn't pick up the opponent like before...
- you can do five i236 in a row lol... (probably shitty damage)

Sophitia:
-BB damage is weaker now
-3A+B hit airborne once

Yoshimitsu:
-a:B+K damage is weaker, and can not follow up with 3AB UNLESS you do 2a:B before that.... making it harder
-44bA no longer rapes soul gauge like before.. takes around four 44bA against the wall for CF... not like before two 44bA no walls.....

Amy:
-3BA no longer rapes soul gauge does less damage

Raphael:
- BB no longer tracks like no tomorrow...

Setsuka:
-A+G throw is 5 less damage

Voldo:
- BS 236A no longer stuns
- BS 22B won't relaunch the airborne opponent
- combo damage is weaker

Astaroth:
- 6K is -14

Xianghua:
- 214B+G B hits Astaroth

Talim:
- A+K Tech Jump time is less

Cervantes:
-11K has less advantage on block

Tira:
-infinite against talim doesn't work (didn't even know there was an infinite lol)
- 2A no longer whiffs

Siegfried:
-3 SCH B no longer combos

Kilik:
- B+K GI vertical and smaller window

The Apprentice:
- A+B throw break has better recovery

Things NOT fixed:
- Cass 1K still misses LM
- Kilik's MO A still goes through Maxi.
- Still got some laggy stage but might be improved.. not too sure.

these are the changes he found so far... i'm sure when you guys start playing or when he plays more he'll know

but i gotta say i'm loving this game.. if namco is willing to fix this stuff expect the game to only get better

kinda want his BB to return to its what it was in SC3 and his 66B to be mid again.

not a lot of change for asta just yet, though i really like that 6K was slightly safe. now i can get hit by kilik? dammit.

Heh, CF.com has slowed to a crawl because of everyone clamoring to look at the patch stuff.

Overall I like these changes, though I find some of them questionable.

Still hoping mid/low tiers got buffs.

Yes. I'm real curious as to why there are only nerfs as opposed to any buffs tho o_O Still, better to have some changes than not. Asta 6K change is pretty interesting, to say the least.

Awesometastic..... I truly expected no support at all. Though some of those changes are 100% agreeable, I'm still very glad.
If Apprentice stops Whiffing, I might think about playing him... though I doubt it :D

Seriously though...Just release some farking patch notes Namco. All console games...I dont know why its so hard to put out patch notes.

Hopefully Mina got some buffs, as the CF changes rape her game.

4K/6K working on lows would be nice.

Namco really should make a patch log listing all the changes that are made during patches. That way we aren't left in the dark whenever patches are released.

Anyway, I'm glad Tira's 2A no longer whiffs. That was proving to be quite annoying for me.

Was the nerf really needed for voldo. Voldo seemed good with his insane combo damage and now they removed it. I mean if they are going to do that at least let voldo change to backstance at will instead of having to land a hit. (attacks that are guarded will typically be countered with another attack forcing voldo to face forward again.....)
