What would you rate SCV out of 10 ?

Hey guys am new to forums but yeah, i was wondering what you guys would rate SCV and why?
For me i'd rate it an 8/10. My reasons
Pros:
-Good story
-New characters
-Meter (brave edge, critical edge) opens up new combos
-Quick Step/ Just guard helpful and useful
-Create a Soul is still fun and imaginative
-Much faster then SCIV
-A lot of different fighting stages that are beautiful
-Increase breast sizes in Create a soul

Cons:
-Most of the characters have no story behind them besides Patroklos and Pyrrha
-Klik, Edge Master, Elyisum are a waste of character slots, i cant see why they couldn't have added Talim, Seong Mi-na, Yun Seong, Zasalamel, and Setsuka instead of them
-Not much to do once Story mode is done
-Leveling up isn't that fun once story mode is done
-Create a soul, should have different types of souls to use like SC3

Opinion: I do like this game a lot, but am just disappointed on how they wasted character slots, and how each character didn't have a story of there own also how minimal things there is to do once story mode/getting to level 99 is done. Its basically playing SCBD for the PSP but with a story line

Future: Well i hope to see TONS OF character DLC, like the ones i listed up above, and DLC story lines for characters.

Lemme know what you guys think about the game too.

I think you hit the nail on the head, but I think the major improvement is the netcode. I think it's good enough to take the online a little more seriously even though I've rarely played online recently. The best way to play is with friends offline always.

I'd give it a 7/10.

Pros:
supreme netcode, this earns it most of the points I'll give it
The new meter stuff is entertaining and makes the game marginally deeper, (though it's shamelessly ripped off of 2d fighters)
So far the game looks very well-balanced
I have high hopes for good dlc

Cons:
Story mode was a let-down
99% of cas stuff is recycled from sc4
No story for any chars other than pat and pyrrha, not even an arcade ending
3, no, not one, listen, three. Guys, listen to this, guys, THREE mimics. WTF.
Just guard is too damn hard, (yes I know the g[G] trick, but try to JG both hits of a BB with that) and regular GI takes meter. Preferred the old way

Rating: 7/10

I've only gotten a few hours of play, but I can say that I'd buy that thing in a heartbeat, and I will... Once I get money.
One of my favorite thing was the CaS and watching them fight. It had a different feel then it did in SC3 and 4. And the online was also... Interesting. The lobbies were a bit weird, I thought, but maybe I'm just not used to them. The lack of horrible lag also made me shit brix.

Overall, I give it a 8/10, but I haven't touched the story mode yet. Need to buy my own copy XD

As a stand alone fighting game I'd give it 7.5 out of 10.
As a Soul Calibur game I'd give it 3 out of 10 because they've changed/removed so much of what made the Soul games so much fun.

I rarely touch online in games as it gets me nervous, so I will judge the game by it's offline content. The story mode may have been a dissapointment but I prefer it over SCIV's "story" mode, though I would like to see the return of Tales of Souls from SCIII...that has been by far the best story mode I have played in a fighting game. Quick Battle is a great mode as it lets you fight against hundreds of characters with unique AI which simulates online behaviour in some instances. Legendary souls was a major dissapointment for me, seems like a last minute addition, would have been better if they included some kind of survival mode in it's place. Creation has taken a large step forward over IV but it's still lackig some basic things, like the option two edit face features individually. The gameplay is sharp and the addition of the gauge meter along with CE and BE really brings to another level, another step forward from IV and it's crappy critical finishers. The biggest letdown in this game for me has been the removal of series regulars and fan favorite characters like Zasalamel, Talim and Yun Seong, each one bared a unique style and lots of people were maining them so there is no excuse for PS to omit them. As of now I'd give the game an 7.5-8/10 , if by any chance any of the aforementioned characters make it to the game via DLC then it will be an 8.5/10 for me

Pros:
- the graphics are just amazingly beautiful
- everything is so organized
- the facial models are more dynamic
- the voice acting has been improved so much
- the physics engine has been improved
- CaS is very expansive and innovative
- the meter system is very smart
- combat is very fluid

Cons:
- Online is unbearable if fighting under 3 bars
- CaS has a lot of outfit limitations
- Story mode was great, but some points of it were wtf
- No arcade endings
- Level grinding is tedious
- Just Guard is hard to pull off
- Guard Impact costs meter; I hate it when I accidentally do a GI while attempting a CE

I could care less if we have three mimics, could care less if we didn't even have any.

Overall 7/10.

pros
new characters

cons
time skip fail(why not 100 or 200 years after sc4 ?)
awful story
no story for the others characters
no arcade endings
missing styles
missing emblematic characters
simplified characters/move list (Ivy became a true joke in this game... and Raphael was again nerfed, poor Raphael...)
three mimic character ...
gameplay...this is SoulCalibur not StreetFighter(i really wonder if Daishi is a true SoulCalibur fan?)
punish defensive player
IG cost meter
JG is hard to pull off and because of that sc5 is an true paradise for spammers
no true single mode(they sould take exemple on sc2 or 3)
no special effect on the weapon because of that no special versus mode
versus mode:no handicap option and no illimited time option
stage even if they are beautiful(i want some fun stage like in sc2)
CAS 99% was recycled from sc4 ,too many limitations
Sexism:true reason for the non return of the most female cast its because they are too old for the PS team and they prefer lolita type characters ...where is the gender equality?

3/10 as an SoulCalibur player and fan since SoulEdge/Blade
by far the worst sc game i ever played ...i realy hope for improvement with an futur DLC/PATCH
because it really hurts me to see what they have done to this beautiful serie ...

7/10 as an stand alone fighting game

8.5 or 9/10, the only thing holding it back from a 10/10 is the admittedly lacking singleplayer modes. The gameplay is fantastic, online is amazing, story mode is pretty good, though short. Creation is cool too. With a individual endings, a WM/CotS-like mode, and fixes to some of those things in Creation(robo voices and bulky equipment), it would be a perfect 10.

Lawl, wouldn't they be fighting with like, guns and shit 200 years into the future? Just a thought.

yeah i think soo but Ezio is already using a hiden gun lol and cervantes has one too
yeah 200 years is maybe too much lol but SoulCalibur is an fictional story so they can do like advanced guns never existed

pros:
new characters + a few new styles with updated ones.
more in depth story mode. (although the ending was crap.)
create a soul expanded
good guest character (characters if you include devil jin)
DLC hopes.

Cons:
3 mimics.
NO TALIM </3
no arcade endings
story mode was bs.
if you don't have psn or xbl it gets boring
Legendary souls is too hard.
no talim (already mentioned but it still hurts.)
Just guard is too damn hard.
^and broken if you are a master of it
Ivy is user friendly... like wtf she is supposed to be ba.
taki was supoosed to be in the game but do you see a taki? BECAUSE I DON'T SEE A TAKI ANYWHERE.
CAS was limited
CAS does not have 2p outfits.
all styles did not make a return.
time skip. (17 years)

Feels like a reboot, but I give it a 7/10 because if they do DLC it won't be as bad but they need to add the following:
-Talim
-take out just guard and make GI cost NO METER
-arcade endings
-more single player modes
-LOTS OF CAS
-the opition to use our own music when we choose a stage.
-dampierre's stage from BD
-dampiere himself
-bayonetta or some other DLC style

then this game would be a 9.5/10 to be a 10/10, it would need to give Ivy SCII back or SCIV Ivy back, Taki, and take back the time skip.

Pros:
-Gameplay
-Graphics
-CAS
-Music

Cons:
-Story Mode, no individual endings
-Lack of single player modes
-3 Mimics, missing characters
-Lack of "Musum Mode"
-On the disc DLC

7/10

As a fighting game an 8.5/10
the game as a whole a 7.5/10 due to the lack of single player modes which is what SC was always best at..
By simply adding COTS from sc3 would have helped a lot!

99% of cas stuff is recycled from sc4
This is absolutely false. There was actually more original equipment than there were returning ones.

I recall someone saying that they would give character Creation a 10/10. After spending a lot of time with it, I'd give it an 8 (maybe 7.5). I like the new body modifications, unisex options, use of patterns, weapon trail coloring, and a lot of other options, but in terms of the 'clothing options,' SCIV does it better. I also don't understand why players wouldn't use and 1P and 2P equipment from either SCIV or SCV, because those had some of the best pieces.

When it comes to the reused equipment from SCIV, I noticed that they excluded a lot of the "modern" clothing (no school uniforms, drums corps jacket, flight jacket, white button shirt, nurse dress, officer hat, neck tie, etc) and reused most of the armor pieces. That's a let down for anyone who wanted to give modern looks to their characters (me included). Some of the clothing options aren't really that good either (the congradulatory jacket is the new now wonder jacket).

7/10

For:
Lack of single player content.
Mimics
Lack of certain modes that people really wanted and that there really is no legitimate reason that they were not included (i.e. Museum, Team Battle, etc.)
I really don't like GI being tied to meter, but I can understand why they did it, to a certain extent.

Also I don't like that we can't use any pieces from the cast's 1p or 2p outfits for CaS. I really want Viola's boots and stockings to be useable, as well as Elysium's 1P. Grrr.
