Something I've been wondering recently, given the fact that SCV Tira is the strongest she's been imo. Would she be a top 5 character if she was able to remain in Gloomy for the entire fight?
 
I have a feeling that JS and GS will be balanced and be more diverse after the the patch. So GS will be nerfed and JS will be buffed. You will have more variety play style.

I rambled to few people about her...hopefully the ideas will be put in..

In a stream pre-game, they said Tira would definitely be top tier if she always stayed in gloomy.

Eh, I'm not so sure. I think it would be iffy. As is most people manage to stay in it most of the fight.
Yeah, but they manage to stay in it by avoiding certain moves. Like me, I rarely ever do 3B 4A 4K 666B (BE optional) because it changed wayy too often. I think if there was no Jolly state, Tira would definitely be top tier.
 
Looking at her I actually agree. If she kept all of her tools she'd be upper tier. She has some pretty awesome frames in Gloomy, 3B is a GREAT launcher(even not doing 4K yada yada yada, just 4A, 3AA which leaves you pretty close for oki).
1K is a neutral on hit irritating low. 4A is pretty great(neutral on block). Her basic tools are powerful just looking at them and work well together. I don't know about gloomy being TOP-tier, but yeah she's really good in gloomy.

I loved them. I found a little better ones after, but.. I frickin' love that counter! Too bad they have to be pretty close to you for it to properly work. :/

Oh, they where. There's a thread on here somewhere with everyone's voice files. I forgot to plug in the audio to my device, but it's super crappy anyways. I thought it was funny, though. I wanted to do just the "Ooooh, SEXY!" one, but.. I couldn't help myself. lol
 
What are Tira's best punishers?

And by the way, I almost always go for GS 3B 4A 4K 666B during gloomy. If it changes, I go for 6AB and try to catch unaware opponents with WR B~K~UD A. Or, if I have the meter, try some 66B 66B BE string.
 
I would say 3A in gloomy is her best punisher but don't use it on neutral too much cause you can be punished really bad when they duck the last hit. Jolly I'm not really sure about a good punish bc I try to stay back and poke with her. Unless you are fighting complete newbs and scrubs I use the obvious 6AB and etc.
 
I use JS 6A.B as a punisher. It's really good at tip range 'cause it's a two-hit combo automatic. Also leads to some nice throw/WR B mixup damage.
 
This probably isn't new, but if you hit JS 66B while you're very close to the opponent, you can combo A+B for a 100% stance change. 31 damage. You can't get that much more damage off a JS 66B without meter anyway...

Also, GS 44[ B]gets some nice frame traps when your opponent rolls backwards or towards you. GS 4B:B:B ~ 44[ B] reaches 112 damage.
 
Yeah, I like doing the 66B A+B sometimes. I'd like it better if it stunned them instead of just slamming them into the ground. You can also do that after 66K's CH launch. I think 44B also catches right after 4B.B.B.
