F.A.Q

What countries can participate?

This is open only to U.S. residents (Sorry Canada)

What happens if the match is laggy?

You should replay the match using a new host. If that doesnt work attempt to reconnect until you have a stable enviroment. If you cant, put in a ticket and have the match negated. If it happens in the bracket stage, you can try the new host again but ultimately will have to play it out.

Color Edits on Default Characters? Those are O.K as long as they don't serve as something that no longer makes the characters appear how they should normally in the game. Faces should be visible and nothing else that would obstruct the characters identity should be added. This means no hoods, masks, face paint, horns etc.

Create a Soul Characters?

No

Will this count for seeding or invitation to MLG Anaheim?

No. Although anyone that wins or participates is able to sign up for MLG Anaheim. Personally my opinion is no player that wins an online tournament should be seeded in an offline one.

does anybody know how to report matches?! This website is unnecessarily difficult

EDIT: NM, think I found it

Strange...I've reported the scores for all my battles, but I don't seem to be on the standings. Do I have to wait 'til my opponent also reports? If so, blugh. <x<

Yes, both have to report.

You can only report a match after the time you specified for that match passes. So for anyone doing them earlier you'll have to wait. Than on the REPORT page, on the right they'll be a Report Score button.

Didn't realize how this tournament worked until now. Well, I guess I'm in.

I have a few questions:

What exactly do we do if they do not show up? I don't see how we can prove that.
What do we do if they don't show up AND they say they won? They can just say YOU didn't show up
How laggy is too laggy? 2 bars or less?

Report the match as a no show. You can't prove a negative, but you shouldn't have to. It ought to be up to them to prove the match actually happened.

Again, report as a no show. I imagine it'll just be left disputed if you both claim the other didn't show.

How laggy is too laggy? 2 bars or less?
Yeah, I'd say 2 bars or less is about right. I believe you can cancel or submit a ticket to have the match negated.

I'm trying to provide video proof of someone failing to come to my match on time. He's still missing and my video isn't showing up on the MLG site, how much time does it take for the video to be watched online?

EDIT: I just made a private video on YouTube, I hope that helps..

How do you schedule your own match, does anyone know this? I feel like a chicken with my head cut off with all these questions.
