F.A.Q

What countries can participate?

This is open only to U.S. residents (Sorry Canada)

What happens if the match is laggy?

You should replay the match using a new host. If that doesnt work attempt to reconnect until you have a stable enviroment. If you cant, put in a ticket and have the match negated. If it happens in the bracket stage, you can try the new host again but ultimately will have to play it out.

Color Edits on Default Characters? Those are O.K as long as they don't serve as something that no longer makes the characters appear how they should normally in the game. Faces should be visible and nothing else that would obstruct the characters identity should be added. This means no hoods, masks, face paint, horns etc.

Create a Soul Characters?

No

Will this count for seeding or invitation to MLG Anaheim?

No. Although anyone that wins or participates is able to sign up for MLG Anaheim. Personally my opinion is no player that wins an online tournament should be seeded in an offline one.

WHY CAN'T I SCHEDULE A MATCH EVERY 15 MINUTES?

Seriously. I want to play at 10:30 and 10:45. It then gives me an error and says I can only have one match every 15 minutes.

Way to fail at basic math MLG. Somebody there needs to repeat second grade.

You just can't schedule it in advance. You can play the one at 10:30 then have another at 10:45.

Not to shoot down your complaint, just an FYI.

MLG is cool for organizing stuff for us and putting this up. But their website design skills leave a lot to be desired.

Okay, thanks for the tip. It'll be unnecessarily hard to play the match, then rush over and accept another one about to start less than 5 minutes later though. Sigh. I'll probably just keep playing one every 30 minutes like I have been doing.

Hi guys.

Received a challenge from team Showstopper today. If the profile is correct, this would be the alias of Mick.

Of course, I accepted. I mean, it's Mick. Come on. I jumped at the chance and sent him a friend request.

Well, we played our matches. I won, 2-0. Got lucky, I suppose.

He says after the match, that he'd play two more matches off the record, but still report me as the winner. I just got done fighting Mick, I'm in no shape to continue for the day, so I bow out. He says it's cool, I'm like, well, cool, I'll catch you later.

I check MLG, and, bam, disputed. Match we just played and he went and disputed it.

I've put the videos up in 8WR's database so people can see.

I did not really want to do this- I wanted to be friends with Mick, but, it is what it is, apparently. Fate is a cruel mistress.

Disputes are resolved through CMRS-

so, if you could go there, watch the proof, decide for yourself. Thanks.

Your having trouble with people you already played. I'm having trouble just trying to figure out how to set up matches.

Yeah, the match resolution is in a line with the earliest coming first, should be after that? I wouldn't be able to tell you, as I can't vote on my own stuff (as it should be).

That should be my "ticket" in the system.

Hm, the link doesn't work. After I awared Marginal the win for the dispute "I believe that the match was scheduled for 3pm, and the other guy is trying to lie", it said that there weren't any other matches up for voting. So it might be being reviewed by GB staff. I dunno.

another note for anyone playing/accessing their MLG account from a friend/roommates house or computer... If you share an IP then try and schedule a match to face each other, no matter how many separate people you face... they will assume you are the same guy boosting yourself.

So I have to now wait till morning to argue this with the admins... if you have 2 calibur players in the same household...what do you do? We aren't trying to hide anything, and we didn't see anything in their rules about accessing accounts or playing matches vs someone in the same household.

So, apparently, I'm ranked 23rd. And I've only played 1 match.

Also, I just got a message at 2 am telling me that I was supposed to have a tourney match hours ago. Why the hell wasn't I even informed? He said he challenged me, yet there was no notification from MLG... and I haven't even hosted a game.

This shit is weird. I'm happy we're being supported, but... jeez.

I have a general soul calibur question that relates to this ladder.

When you save recorded matches, is there any way that your opponent can delete them via blocking you? I beat hoeim_hime or whatever and had the recorded matches in my saved replay file but when I came back neither were in there.

Luckly I ended up saving the last match since it still shows the last 10 matches you've played but I was just wondering if it was possible to delete someone's recordings by blocking them.

This same situation happened to me when I triple perfected a natsu and it ended up being missing in my recording. If anyone could explain this too me I would be happy, thank you.
