-Siegfried Players: MOST. Can't stand how they complain that the character whiffs. Ummm, hello? The guy hardly ever whiffs...at all. He has good tracking verticals, LOTS of mids, punishes grounded characters, has crazy mix-ups, a dumb 3B go-to move (that's annoying as hell), a good quick-step game, and does a lot of damage. Bitch, please. If anyone needs any whiffing and tracking issues fixed, it's ZWEI.
(Ok, last one was kind of a joke, but at the same time it's true. Too many Siegfried players feel like their main is bottom-tier somehow lol).
Don't want to be a dick but the majority of that statement is...not correct. There's a lot of complaining from siegried scrubs that don't know how to play the character but if anything is justified it's the complaining about his whiffing.
Don't believe me? Look at
this post - there you have videoproofs of the majority of his more severe whiffing issues. The list is HUGE and definitely outshines everyones whiffing (even though a lot of chars have whiffing issues).
You may not be able to recognize his whiffs in a heated battle but they are there. To put it quite frankly, for the most of the stuff you wrote, rather the opposite is true and i encourage you to gain some more knowledge about sieg and maybe reconsider some of the points you made.
some hints:
- stepping (actually his step is the shortest of the whole cast, no joke)
- tracking (practically non-existend, and even completely removed auto-align for some moves, a feature fairly unique to sieg)
- lots of mids (actually he has a lack of mids, most of his stuff are in fact highs)
- grounded game (his oki is widely considered to be one of his weaknesses)
Sry this post got a little longer and its not meant to be offensive or anything but complaining should be justified and not based on superficial knowledge and i were kind of annoyed because it has become quite a common sight in the last weeks.
Sieg is a great character, complain about the stuff that is actually true - like his range, his
counterhit damage, his very good aGI or (as you did correctly) his extremely strong 3(B).
