Dampierre was already on the disc. Purchasing him as DLC essentially unlocks him.
The other characters are not on the disc and would need new designs, voice work, balanced move-sets, and extra slots in the Character Select screen. It is not a simple process.

Well anything is possible IMO. Surely it would take quite some time, but I'm willing to wait.

Yeah, but who told him that? Either way she's dead, and, Seraphim, still consequential to the story.

Dampierre works because he doesn't affect anything. Sophitia being in would cause all sorts of Pat/Pyr story implications and wouldn't NOT have a dramatic effect on things.

No it wouldn't. Again my point is that Sophitia would merely be an add on, and nothing else. If they were to do dlc it would most likely be classic versions of the characters I.e. SC4 Sophitia. It's not like they would create a whole new story mode just because of Sophitia's inclusion.

Rothion, Le Bello, his father. He says that Sophitia had been killed in battle by a group of malfested and Patroklos' sister had been abducted by a malfested wielding a ring blade. (I'm not 100%, btw. This is what Wiki says. _o_) . http://soulcalibur.wikia.com/wiki/Tira

So, and extra like Demuth and Greed and such were? I like the idea, though I do think it'd make too many people demand her own storyline, and still cause complications. Even if she weren't added to the story, would Patroklos be expected not to comment on her when the player pits them together?

I believe what Rothion told Pat isn't true. Maybe Rothion was hiding the truth, or maybe that's what he believed.

We know Sophitia had a Soul Edge shard in her body, near her heart. In IV, she was defending Soul Edge because she feared that Pyrrha, who was so closely linked to it, would die were SE destroyed. However Siegfried managed to defeat Nightmare regardless, meaning Sophitia had no choice but to use her shard to save Pyrrha. (Hence Pyrrha Omega).

Doing this is what killed Sophitia off. /truepatriot

The Artbook Thread, which contains all the story details we haven't been told, also mentions this, leading me to believe it's the truth ^-^

Granted, but then he could travel back in time and prevent a LOT of things, so best we don't delve too deep into this. Let's just say "Algol did it".

Perhaps, but maybe they could include extra quotes for him. For example if he defeats her, his winning pose could be him saying "Mother" with a lugubrious look or something. To be honest, I don't really think people would be that bothered about Sophitia hving no story. Her being in the game would be enough gratification, just like Taki. Numerous people in the community want to see her make an appearance.

Such perfection from Le Bello! Well, it's a great ending for a great character. Much better than Cassandra "Astral Trip" thing. e_e

Again, I'd love this, but there are story-fans would be cry rage at this, and it's easier to satiate them by not including her. Besides, her moveset is, mostly, in the game anyway.
So, as much as I'd love this, I just don't see it happening for those reasons. It's a shame, because I'd also like Mi-Na back, and she'd be FAR easier to integrate then Sophitia. We'll just have to deal, unfortunately.

Feels bad for Cass. "She found her sister and then was unconscious and then was in Astral Chaos. Also Night Terror. /gg."

Then Cassandra would be better as DLC since hardly any of her moves are in the game. She's peripheral to Sophitia, but is popular enough to gratify fans, and conflicts less with the story.
