We already know what her faults are. Why must people keep pounding it into every thread. How could anyone win EVO with her if people are gonna keep going on and on about how she does low damage or WrB BE lost its evasion speed.
People pound their frustrations into every thread because this website/forum is *the* place for any/all discussions of the game. When someone pours hundreds (even thousands, if you count previous iterations) of hours into a character, there's often some emotional attachment there. When the game is *this close* to being perfect, but is being held back by poor balancing decisions, it's VERY frustrating for dedicated players. It may all come across as whining (and some of it is), but there's a reason for it.
It's a doomed cycle. If you feel like people are ignorant then let them be ignorant. Me personally I can't stand coming in this SA. I'd rather venture into ones of characters I don't even play.
I agree with you about letting people have their ignorance. If someone is too stupid or arrogant to learn the facts, then choose to talk out their ass and draw ridiculous conclusions, then let them wallow in their ignorance - their performance in the game will often reflect the truth of their condition. If one or two sound arguments do nothing to sway their opinion, then a million more probably won't, either.
Has anyone even tried 6(A) post launch. It works wonders for me but no one has said 1B is better because ________________. Instead I have someone telling me they will stuff 1K every time they see it when there are a fuck ton of other things they have to worry about as Leixia twirls at them.
I do occasionally throw 6A out there after a launch. Damage wise, it's not meaningfully different than 1B, but the biggest draw it has going for it is that it allows for standing attacks without RCC. Unfortunately, 6[A] grants the opponent a measure of air control that can make it more difficult for Leixia to keep her opponent's back to the wall/edge. If you're at a place/time in which this isn't important, I say go for it.
Moves like the 3A series (3A, A/3A, FC2K/3A, WR A/3A, Throw/ etc) open up for some cheap little shenanigans when used after the forward spin. If you press buttons a little earlier, you get full access to her FC and WR moves as well, which gives the post-6[A] access to literally every single move she has depending on when you time it.
All that being said, I personally go for 1B most of the time anyway, and here's why. 1B slams the opponent down into an untechable, un-aircontrollable knockdown that says, "I want you up close, right here next to me while I mix you up. I've got FC3B, FC3bB, FC2K, Throws, WR A+B, and a whole bunch of other stuff to use on you, and you aren't going ANYWHERE while I do it."
6[A] has greater flexibility and pushback, but doesn't have quite the "guaranteed" feeling of 1B. The trouble is that 3B, 1B only nets 31 damage (IIRC).
If you really don't give a shit about damage, you can totally bypass the 6[A] and just go into a manual B+K to throw them off a bit while keeping them in the same 2D plane until they hit the ground. This can be helpful if you land a launcher somewhat close to a wall, but you need some pushback without them air controlling out of your next mixup (which should significantly raise the stakes for them, considering Leixia's wall damage is actually pretty good).
