Yeah, I bet he didn't want to stay with Xianghua any longer because he still needed to atone for his sins or close Astral Chaos. Half of me blames him for leaving Xianghua like that pregnant and not doing anything to rectify the situation but another part of me believes that he still has unfinished business whether it be atoning for his sins, surpassing EdgeMaster (which I doubt), or closing Astral Chaos, I hope in due time if he accomplishes whatever it is he needs to accomplish, then he would at least stop running away from his problems and help her. Because that relationship is still there, it's just that it's under difficult circumstances and that it no real closure. So I hope to see K & X once more and they correct the whole confusion between the Kilik/Xianghua/Xiba/Leixia messup.

I can say this has truth to it, but I believe in Daishi. Seeing as how he is really faithful to this series.

He just needs more backbone and demand some stuff to happen. Either that, or he needs some extra help.

However, he seems a little....stressed...lately. Maybe he does need a break in the sidelines.

I honestly don't know but the guy who was marketing SC5 to compete with street fighter wether it was Daishi or Hisagaru Tago should be swapped off that area. It seemed to be the root to why the gameplay was so drastically rebooted to this. I'll except if this was an experiment. (which is fair) but for the sake of the series; I'd prefer them safe with Harada. He knows how to build an design game. (He too didn't like ZWEI when he seen him..) Tekken's gimmicks now are all mostly just aesthetic with the dubstep and etc where as Soul calibur tried to incorperate the new ideas in the fragile areas of the game which was what ruined it.. Someone just needs to let them know that we'd rather just keep the solidarity if the original consitsant gameplay format. I just hope they don't base it off SC5's engine. Though whomever was the designer for the artdirection in SC3/SC4 should come back and just stay on art and modeling. (SC3/4) had the better artdesign then SC5 (IMO. and I think Daishi did that.)
 
Oh, I think the game play is pretty fun actually, so if the game play have the same base I don't mind, just not big fan of JG and meter....but the CE...I liked the CF you see in Broken Destiny was not half bad and could be done often.
 
I hate JG too. On one hand, it's too difficult because of the tight frame window you have the press the button and release. On the other hand, if some prodigy were to master it (no one has yet BTW), and started JGing 90% of what's thrown at them, everyone will be screaming about how broken it is.

Do I think it's difficult execution justifies the massive reward? Not really. If it were any easier, it would be flat out broken.

What I want is a new JG that's significantly easier to pull off, but gives you significantly less reward. For example: I think it should only give you 4 extra frames across the board, not matter what move. What I mean is taking a -16 move and making it -20, a -10 move to -14, etc.

Besides, we already have GI, which gives us massive reward already. There is no need for both JG and GI to be in one game. And since JG costs no meter, it shouldn't give you so much reward.
 
I label it as a reward for knowing you and your opponent's frames.

But JG itself isn't horrible. Overrated, but it's new to the series somewhat, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt.

What you want would make it pointless. Why bother if it's pointless? It would serve no purpose. It'd be like Mitsurugi with less damage. Oh sure, it'd shut up the worst of the scrubs that think he is genuinely a gamebreaker but it would make him pointless since he's big on less attacks doing more damage; without that damage he would basically be a gimped version of Leixia(inb4 Leixia is a gimped version of Mitsurugi). And what possible use would that be?

Please stop making bad arguments to support your opinion as if it's a fact. I honestly don't believe you understand JG if you think it's that powerful. It's just another tool. Which there are ways around. And overutilization of it means not attacking in given opportunities. In a game where offense reigns.

I always thought the point of attaching a meter cost to GI was to avoid the game turning into a parry fest.

Also, JG is easy. The problem is that it's generally low risk and the easiest shit to JG gives the highest reward.

Oh, and whoever thinks a Tekken guy would be a better director for the series than whatever we have now is nuts. Tekken is the reason this series is currently chained to a radiator in uncle Namco's basement.

SCVI will come out if it ever comes out.

I hope for teh update a la SSf4 with new characters, about wait will be waaay more reasonable than a 6th chapter
