I'm saying correlation does not necessarily mean causation. I think you need a little more education, in both history and rhetoric before you engage in these kinds of discussions. All I've seen from you so far is being "stubborn and headstrong" about your own ignorant opinions. Cute sig btw.
 
You know what I've admired about the Internet for some time now? The fact that lots of people, even with much less favorable opinions, tend to speak their mind even without a call for it. At the same time, it's funny because lots of people hate the fact that I'm completely honest when they ask me to be. Says a lot about people...

Well, I don't agree with the fact that, honestly, you're terrible at Calibur but act like...you're...well, not to people who don't know any better. Or that lots of people here do...and that they whine...and that they've never shown up to a major event...or that you're a mod here...or that most of these jackasses here who act like they're competitive players have never even checked the tournament announcement forum.

Whatever, though, you two or three keep going at it. This was my first time checking this thread and probably the last.

P.S. Why do a lot of you people even come here if you're not getting any better at the game or showing up to events? That was rhetorical and not towards anyone in particular.

I have a bone to pick with you. Remember when MLG was in Raleigh? I was gonna go, but couldn't afford the 50$.

So then I asked if I could come for casuals, and you said you were having a hotel and would be there the whole weekend. I asked if I could come for one evening and play some of you guys. You said you would ask the other people if it was OK for me to come? Remember? I told you to let me know either way, and let me know which hotel so I could google-map it?

Since I never got a response after that, I assumed that it wasn't OK. I'm not bothered that I wasn't allowed, I'm bothered that you never bothered to tell me. I hate bringing up old shit, but you flaked!

So don't try to pretend that people aren't trying to put themselves out there.

I wasn't gonna ever bring this up, but it's been bothering me for a while now.
 
1. I started posting some funny Obama pictures because I thought it was entertaining. Suck got his jimmies all rustled, so now I'm just trolling.

2. Wait, what? When have I ever acted like I'm better at Calibur than I really am? Care to point it out? If kAb or Shogun want my Natsu mod spot, being better than me, they're welcome to it. Oh wait. They're gone with about 70% of the rest of the community.

3. I RUN the online tournaments even though half the time it's more like herding cats. That's as much as about anyone else does around here, and it's 10 times more visible to any Namco rep passing thru than, as one person, just "showing up" at a tournament. In other words, I'm doing as much or more than anyone to see we get an SCVI.

Just know that I'm not afraid of getting my ass kicked in SC. It's the only way to get better, after all.

The crusades were nominally about religion, but the main reason was money and land and power, same old thing that wars have ALWAYS been fought over. Same with Israel and Palestine. Same reason Atheist leaders today fight and kill over. Your assertion that all those old wars were fought over religion is just as shallow as saying the civil war was fought over slavery.

Life gets in the way. Some of us had every intention to compete and didn't get the chance to, but still love the game from afar or have friends in the community. When people get old and stop playing basketball they still watch the NBA.

Frankly, someone being more or less skilled than other person in a fighting game has no bearing on them as an individual, and using it in an argument sounds like grasping at straws.
