When Do You Think SCVI Will Be Announced?

When Soul Calibur Legends was first announced for the Wii, i thought it was going to be a SC game that had characters from the whole series. I would love to see a game like that.
 
Don't gets your hopes up on a SCVI this early.

Anything SC related, hopefully that does come about either this following year, or the next one.

DLC or an Expansion, I really don't care for at this point. If there are any, then I'll actually be surprised. If the expansion is on a separate console, then I won't be surprised about that.
Don't worry, I haven't given up hope! T^T Maybe they should make a Soul Calibur movie that explains what happened. Like, EVERYTHING. From SCIV to SCV to everything... It'd be CG...

Actually, thinking about it now, I just want a SC game. Lol ._.
 
The meter is so important for offense that using it on a GI doesnt make sence.

That's kind of the idea. Make you choose: save it for defense or offense, but not both. Also, different characters have different uses for meter. And it's beating a dead horse at this point, but GI is more powerful than it's ever been, further bolstered by the lack of requiring you to expect anything but when an attack will land. It's a game changer, not the "oh the other guy did a GI so I guess it's time for a GI war" of past games since it's tied to meter. Look at Yoshimitsu. If he saves up enough meter for a GI and CE, his foe simply cannot escape losing half their health when he GIs successfully if he still has another full bar of meter. It's also very handy for those bad matchups, both for opening up your foes offense and for potentially forcing them to burn through their meter(and thusly eliminate some of their more-damaging tools).


Also, JG are easy to do and require no meter, and give the player an advantage that GI's dont.

The advantage varies wildly depending on what was JG'ed in the first place. It is a supplement, not a substitute for anything. The benefit it grants being so variable, it's not always the best option even. It's not the end-all be-all tool some make it out to be. And this is coming from someone who plays a character that is absolutely butchered by JG(Nightmare: whose emphasis on single strikes make him much easier to JG against and his attacks are extremely punishable post-JG).

Also, arnt clean hits random? If they are random then whats the point of having it in the first place?

As I see it, it's intended to encourage using certain attacks more often to give them better risk/reward without affecting balance too sevrely. I think whether it works as intended or not is a matter of opinion, though.


And i miss the huge moves list from SC4 and SC4's critical finish. Maybe all these things have a reason to exsist but they kill the experience for me. Honestly, i havent played SC5 in about 4 months so now im just waiting for SC6. It prolly wont arrive untill after the PS4 and Xbox720 arrive so i quess SC6 is still about 2 years away at the very least.

I think you may be better off just playing SCV instead of waiting for something that may not even happen. Get to know the game a bit better, it's really very fun. I've been playing since II was out on consoles, never really looked beyond the most-casual bit of the content until V and I've found myself addicted to it for the depth and balance of its gameplay. Just give it another shot, you don't stand to lose anything from trying it.

Some people just gotta realize that Namco knows something we dont. I have my theories why they did that to the GI system. Time moves on and things change. Thats just life.

I think you mean an expansion, since what you are saying is what the game would be: an expansion of the original one.

I mean if Project Soul and Namco don't want to give a new Soul calibur for example Soul Calibur 6 or an expansion of SCV the best that they can do it is to give us new DLC's for SCV like more characters, stages, episodes for story mode.......

Oh how disappointed I was when it came out and it only had Siegfried, Mitsurugi, Taki, Sophitia, Astaroth, and a bunch of minor characters no one cares for.

Seems like you'd be fine just playing SC4.
 
I too would support a Super Soul Calibur V.

-Making Kilik have his own moveset
-Deeper longer Story Mode that doesn't solely focus on Pat and Pyrrha (They could try alternating with the group of Maxi, Natsu, Leixia, and Xiba and Zwei/Viola and so on)
-Possibly adding in missing characters that should have been there from the start (Yun-Seong, Zasalamel, & Talim)
-Retired characters making cameos in story (Xianghua, Taki, Setsuka, etc.)
-More CAS options (tons more clothes ~including all 1p/2p main cast outfits~/patterns/stickers,/special items, more slots, etc.)
-More levels (preferably more sunny. I love the dark inspired levels but I'd love to see some bright ones too and even another snow level :D)
-A few more game modes
-Extended Arcade routes (Like they incorporate CAS characters that are designed based off whatever route you chose along with the main cast)

Yeah, I would buy it. :)

Take out the Kilik part, and I'll agree with you 100%.

are you serious? kilik HAS to have his own moveset and here´s why:
1.- kilik´s SCIV moveset was really good and complete.
2.- if we have like 4 Shield and Sword characters, why cant we have 2 staff ones?
3.- with mi-na gone viba could have a moveset that looked more like hers and kilik have his own.
4.- having 3 mimic characters is super stupid and i am almost 100% sure that it wasn´t meant to be like that, i think that kilik was meant to have his own style in V but the game was rushed so they made him a crappy mimic.
5.- I know that many people dont like kilik because he was top tier on IV and because he doesnt have the best personality, but you dont know how much many people (including me of course) miss the JF ASURA.

JF Asura is just a bad idea for everyone. The game is better for moves like JF Asura not being in them.

You don't put execution barriers on top of moves which TJ, late TC, a-GI non-body mids and natural combo. Oh it also retracks behind him. It does 70 damage by itself. Also it does a bunch of guard damage. Also it has a JF input to make it safer, and do more guard damage.

Stupid.

Nobody with a brain in their head wants that back as is.

of course it would be nerfed, im not saying it needs to be in the game just as it is, i just miss the input and the animation, you can take the TJ, TC and reduce the damage if you want.
 
I'd just remove the JF, tone down the damage, and make sure it is unsafe for everyone. Also make sure it does no guard damage (or that you couldn't break with it). No tracking either.

Why? The move is purposed as an aGI. It covers a ton of options (lows, non-body mids), which encourages people to throw it out, and it's a trump card versus a ton of strings. Using it improperly should not reward you.
