A Calm Study in CaS.

Back story is here, hope it helps you guys to get a little better the reason of some of the pieces designs.
Pawns actually are fallen soldier, all of them are really dead now, due to a contract with the king they souls can't rest until the king is dead.

She was an assassin that meant to strike the down the king, but due to the king genius she fall, her beauty saved her head, she have a sister that is now a mercenary plotting against the king, she helps with internal info but if the king dies she dies as well, she is willing to free the nation of the black King.

Rook, he was a prince warrior that was captured, the bids are there because he was really strong, even with all the binds he was strong enough to keep fighting, due to the blindfold he can't escape, the collar in his neck also meant to hold him.

Bishop, he was Rook assistance, old friend he is also plotting against the king so he can free his friend, both are general like level, so the King have little suspects of they plotting.

Knight, he is the only really loyal one to the king, he suspect of the Bishop but can't do much, he usually is the machinator behind King well done traps, his soul is actually the King own in a different body.

King, he is a ruthless ruler, very smart he won many fights, he want to win the entire country, so he keep in war, his Soul is just partially in his body, so he can't move much.

Hmm, they're good designs in and of themselves, but the Oriental theme doesn't really seem evident aside from in one or two areas - Notably the Bishop (Z.W.E.I styled one right?) who is spot on.

I think more of the Asian-inspired armour could've been used, but otherwise they're very nice :D

Note:
Pawn: At first I tried using that iron nail with tissue, but it looked bad, so I again tried to keep it plain, less faceless since in the back story the Red kingdom is suppose to be a kind of resistance, Xiba is still linear yet stronger than Raphael, some moves can be seemed as when a pawn destroy a piece.

Rook: Polar opposite, heavily armored and slow, more imposing like a fort, linear and devastator, less poetic by far, yet I have the feeling of a soulless begin, so he looks more like a puppet, don't you guys think?

Knight: I wanted to make more aristocratically, but that scarf don't work so well a a jabot, oh well , the armor is more light and more clean to give a less menacing aura, Cervantes moves because they are stronger but I good reader might be capable of breaking him.

Bishop: Yes he is the oriental, simple but I think he works in his own way, I like him and if I could, I would exchange the bishops, but he look better in red? Z.W.E.I spiritualist feeling?? Maybe??

Queen: A small detail that maybe you guys haven't got it, it is the blue roses, both Queens wears them a a signal of respect, so they wear a opposing realm, her mask and dress are to give a more light nature, Alpha moves are because of swift moves yet powerful blows and quickly recoveries.

King: He is the epitome of the polar opposites, his armor is to give a more goodly and paternal look, more like a kind of angel, he having a armor is to give a brave look Patroklos moves, not hard to be done, but this one is more to suit the Red King persona.

Back story:
Pawns: Those who don't have the power to cast justice will seek for the ones who have, most of them were commoners with little experience with fighting, the golden wings, a signal of the royal family is to show they confidence in them, and so they get some boost in they confidence.

Rook: He is a soulless moving fort, an old technology that was made by artificially creating a soul to animate a object, the problem is that it can only attack and can't do much to help the kingdom in doing the strategies, countless of this dolls were slayed by the Blue Rook.

Knight: Once a high Aristocrat of the blue kingdom, he couldn't bare the politic of slaying as many people possible, he have a particular grudge with the Blue knight, they spared many times, but in the process each hit a different part of the other face giving them ugly scars. (Both cover them as a sing of shame for a "loss") He also have a affair with the Red Queen.

Bishop: The Red Queen in particular hired him, he is able of summoning spirits, but it cost his health if done for prolonged time, he and the Blue Bishop never raised a single "blade" against the other, they try to manipulate each other, no success in both sides.

Queen: She was raised to be rich, but she learned how to fight from a young age, she was the original wife of the Blue King, when she refused he slayed down her entire family, her affair is based on the love that she can't give to the Red King, he don't know because he is always too lost in his own thinking , she don't do with bad intentions but even for the King her title is just until they won the war.

King: He is very silent, his Kingdom needed a Queen too have a moral boost, he is losing many battles but he is confident that his strategies will prevail, he gave each soldier the blessing of the "Golden Wing" too prove his faith in them.

I might have a crack at making my own interpretations of some of these characters, if that's ok? Their stories are VERY intriguing, and I eagerly anticipate the possibility of more!

Impressive recreations of the Dampierre and Co uh.. Co. I ESPECIALLY love that second Gisele, and am all up about stealing it. I mean borrowing. I mean uh, oh hey look, a distraction!

The Verflucht family, once a proud aristocratic family, was beaten once the Earl of Verflucht was mysteriously found dead.

His Dausghster: Lianne, was in French by the time, she is a scholar that refused to become another warrior of the family enjoying much the books, when she heard that her father was dead, she took her old sword so she could find some answers, but her lack of training rusted her, so she is not strong enough to go alone. She is the younger child.
(Note: I wanted to give a half term to her so the short skirt.)

Grausan: Once he got his 18 years, he fled from his duties as the heir and became a pirate, one night while drinking his mother got in the tavern to take him back, they both fought but she won, because he was forced to go back he kept his looks, but after a assassin tried to eliminate him he started to worry about his family so he kept around to protect them.
(Note the pirates looks....well hmm....pirate XD)

Genevive: She was always very strict with her children always making they be "perfect" and honorable so the family would be strong, when her husband died she, went to take her elder son, even fighting with him, after she and Grausan suffered a attempt of murder, now she just want to protect her children from harm.
(That skirt took forever.)

Traurig: He is blind but all his senses are great, he is the only one that don't know of his father passing yet,although he look very calm he already figured out, and along with Lianne is trying to figure out what happened.

Some really good sticker work going on here - Most notably on the first lady. Modernish designs rarely intrigue me but that one is AMAZING.

Amazing work with the stickers. You might want to add a bit more variety with the colors though.

You have head for design and eye for the pieces, from here you just need to develop a more complex colour sense to level up

About this one, Pierrot is not his real name, but once you become a professional killer those things rarely matter, he is a malfested that will kill by the right price, the amount of fun he gets doing the job, well if he do not have fun...his boss get killed and he goes to the next one.
