KiLLer Instinct [Xbox One Exclusive]

How does this ruin it? Because it'll beef up the potential community more because people can try it for free? Or because you can get it for a fraction of the price if you know exactly what character you wish to own? Or are you just vying against microtransactions because they're microtransactions?

On another note fuck the guy that wrote that article. Talking shit about KI. D:<

First and foremost, I point you to D3V's post. I agree with you the shit talking in the article wasn't necessary, but tell me, how is this different from pay for Capcom's DLC on disc move? only difference is they're not charging you for the game. they're essentially giving you a demo of the game. And say if you want the full roster which can be lord knows, if it's twenty characters and it's 2 bucks a pop or if looking at capcom as an example: $5 - $10 per character... then what? and if you want to train for a tourney you need to have all characters so you know how to play against all types. Try to remember that online does not equal offline gameplay. Or say your friend comes over and you want to play, but you haven't bought anyone yet so you just play with Jago. Or you charge your friend so he can go buy a character.

it's just this isn't a good business model. I don't agree with it for Tekken, I don't agree with it for DOA. If it's a demo, that's fine. But give me a flat price to make it a full game. don't charge me in pieces.

I see this game would be okay for casuals, but I can't see it as any good for tournaments. it'll be a huge headache added to the one XB1 gives you off rip.

All the characters can supposedly be brought in a bundle which is essentially buying the game at retail.

I thought this was going to be bad-average at best. After watching some more stuff I actually really want to play it. Get some more exclusives of this caliber and tone down some of the bullshit, and Microsoft just might have a sale.

Guys. You pay a fraction of the price for only the characters you want to play OR just buy the full game itself. Why is this a bad thing?

Wah Wah, Reave.. call the wambulance tell them to come pick up your people...

but for real tho, it's actually not a bad thing. If they didn't offer up the full game. then that's a bad thing. But they're offering a digital download of the full game. IGN had it twisted, so all is well in the land of Killer Instinct.

This is actually one of the few games that makes me really want a X1, but I can hold off for the moment...

I called. Got a busy signal lol.

My problem would have been if it was anything like Tekken Revolution. That game is a complete waste of time IMO but I guess its cool to get some exposure to people who don't even buy fighting games.

lol. I'm glad you still have your sense of humor.

I think we're in agreement here. I said it before but this free to play is an awful business model, especially for fighting games. But I hear what they're doing with this tekken revolustion is that it's a test for Tekken X Street Fighter. and if they're not releasing an arcade version of the game, this makes sense. They need to test out stuff for it somehow, and it brought back my T5 juggles for King. Yay~ Still. if I view it as a demo, makes sense. but then if I have to pay for characters, Background stages etc..

fuck that.
