NOT TRUE. OFF HAS SAID MANY TIMES THAT "IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PLAYER." THE ONLY VALID EXCUSES ARE THAT THE CONTROLLER WAS BROKEN OR AN ASIAN MODEL CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND DISTRACTED HIM.

SC5 wouldn't let you play until you assign 'G' to one of the buttons. You can have B+G, A+K+G, K+H, A+G or whatever plus G, but it requires you to assign a single 'G'. Perhaps you've meant he assign the buttons incorrectly.
