Thanks, I intend to use that advice, the games I played Amy I feel were wasted on Kilik since I had no idea how to put the match up together with her. I understand how Cass can fight this shit and in this situation I guess I should have just started with her.

This venue was incredibly hospitable, generous, and spacious. The people there were kind and fun to talk to. I don't even care that most of the tournament was played on one TV, because of this. I got a bunch of free stuff that would have made the entry fee worth it even if I hadn't placed and they even were willing to order pizza. Big props to Blakphire and whoever else is in charge of that place I will be back there.

Sword Lord - Something-Unique says he's also an experienced DOA and Tekken player. The way I see it, the odds of someone good coming from online SC4 can't be 0. This does not mean that its gonna happen left and right now. We'll see how he holds up in the future, but this day is definitely his.

Anyway, good shit to Unique yesterday. I wish I could have played you in more casuals than that one we had. I can see why everyone was having problems against you. (coughECdontblockcough) but I'm liking the way you use Asura.

Well as of right now there is only three characters that give me problems and that's in this order X, Voldo, Astaroth. Cervy has nothing on me and I can counter him on reaction real nice. I also use Asura less on him because he punishes really damn hard. Hilde will always be threatning because of her ringout capacity but again my timing on Asura and defense is extra tight against her for fear of getting launched. I also watch my angle when fighting her as well so if I get launched it won't be at the angle of a ringout. Plus I exploit the fact that throwing her resets her charges if you wanna throw escape. I don't know who played her at the tournament but I gave her no options and shut her down quick. Yeah if someone can help get me there I can make it to NEC if it doesn't conflict with work and my courses.

I am an Ex DOA 3.0 and DOA Ultimate player but ever since I have moved on from that crappy game I have put my time into Tekken5DR which is actually my main game now
and now I am into SCIV as well. I also used to play Guilty Gear seriously for a while as well. I am now starting to travel offline though.

I guess the new generation is emerging...

I'd like to warn everyone not to take these results lightly because I see some very good players in the results.

I'm seeing nothing but top players come in here saying, "I'm not surprised at the results."

Quite frankly, after a few matches with Something-Unique online, I'm not surprised either.

I've never seen someone with so much control and such flawless execution. Given this combination with a character like Kilik, your bound to witness a player with no limitations granted an Asura or two :)

Serge: Something-Unique has never played offline before but the fact that you were able to put him in losers with X is really amazing.

Wing: Mick is telling me that Something-Unique is beating you now - Kilik vs. Kilik. Is this correct?

It'd be interesting to see how Something-Unique does on a national level.

KDZ, it's actually because Something-Unique is beating all of the top players online.

For this reason alone, people are dying to know how he will perform offline and they want to know how good he really is.

So it's not the results that are receiving all of the attention, it's the new recruit.
 
RTD- I'm not going to lie; he did beat me Kilik v. Kilik (I think the score was 5-2 his favor)

Please note that it was the first time that we ever played

But I'm not going to take anything from this guy; he's extremely good and he taught me a few things.

This tourney did inspire me to take my SC4 work to the next level.

So far i have been developing general offensive plans to better rush shit down, and so far they have been working more or less.
Now, it's time to develop more anti character strategies to stuff all or most of my opponent's options and turn the tide.

Lol, when i lost to Tidus' Amy, i switched to Mitsu. If i can't rush with one i'll rush with the other:-). But yeah, i gotta take kilik to the lab whenever i have time to see exactly how i can limit his options, etc. I guess we'll have to wait and see for the results.

All u other SC4 players..... why so serious?

And Serge Asura spam didn't limit your options, you not knowing how to beat Asura limited your options. And for fuck sakes man you spam 66k like it's going out of business! And you're citing Asura spam as limiting your options?

Anyway looking forward to playing you on the 15th man. Good to know he was able to come into the scene and do well, that rarely happens. Now the key will be sustaining this kind of performance. Looks like you've got the support of a lot of people, too.

Yo, just wanna say that despite my being a total scrub at SCIV fun times were had at this tourny. Watching the unknown dude make his way to the finals was a blast, and the Jaxel versus HackerMike match was mad hype, a great display of high level play I never get to see online. Props to PnT and to Phire for running this thing.
 
and some people continue to say that online play is useless lol...........make sure your connection is optimal and online play is infinitely better than playing the computer.........

good job something unique.........psn friend me please ;)

Wow my mistake I was told that was someone else's account you played on (roomate)
so I meant that you played me under his account. I didn't know it was yours lol. If I recall we had a pretty sweet 5 bar connect to so I would love to play you more in preparation for offline and trade ideas etc. As of right now i'm developing some brand new strats so I would like to see how they play out.

You would be rather suprised at my reaction to M.Bison, Those stupid teleports, the extremely obvious teleports that cervy scrubs do etc. I believe in one of the money matches KDMaster picked him against me (results vs. Cervantes = utter rape). If your the real deal Cervy of the group though I am interested and can't wait.

Serge's X left my Asura useless actually because of the weird delay in most of her strings and that same move you talk about that he spams. I landed Asura effectively against him because of his player habits.

I have no choice but to sustain this type of performance I am the fuel for influencing online players to enter offline tourneys.

More important than that I didn't realize so many people were repping for me so I definitely gotta represent.

Ramon: Don't worry I can guarantee you next time that crap won't work again when I rematch you for money again. Next time I show up I will know how to fight X, Astaroth, and voldo alot better than I do now.

At the end of the day I'm gonna rep for the people who I didn't even know were rootin for me this much. Good lookin out RTD by the way hopefully I can compete on a national level.

So far I won 2 money matches as well and lost one. I will be lookin forward to those next time. Only $20 or more from now on.
