Lost Swords

That would actually be clever. Make the only mode extremely hard so that casuals can't beat the story mode and then have easy mode as DLC

How much for infinite meter?

Oh yeah, the official SoulCalibur Facebook page posted an update saying there would be more information on Lost Swords announced at the Tokyo Game Show, which starts on the 19th.

(Crossing my fingers) Let's hope that they include missing portion of the story mode into the Lost Swords. Btw, for those who have played ftp games besides Tekken Revolution, has the story mode ever been included in any ftp games before?

I love whenever I see a Sony exclusive, this board finds the need to turn it into a "fuck you xbox owners" discussion.

Seriously, nobody cares. Oh, oh, Titan Fall bitches! booom! =P

Ha, I'm practically melting with the envy... keep your dime a dozen fps :P

Sheez, Jinrai, I respect Xbox players like all hell, I just wouldn't buy one. With that said, I am an uber PS fangirl *shows wrists* You can take me to prison now T_T
XD

I don't mind the free to play concept, but Sony is degrading the market, it's a race to the bottom. "Who's game is cheaper? Mine is only $10! Mine is only $5! Mine is..... FREE! But I'll make you end up paying more for it than if you would have bought it for $60, because I'll charge $7 per character. So getting the whole roster will probably cost you $96, when you could have just bought the game new for $60... But hey.... it's a FREE download!"

Game likes Tekken Revolution are a prime example, it's basically Tekken 6, I don't need it, because I own Tekken 6 already. Now Sony is licensing out all these knock-offs of full retail games trying to nickle and dime you to death. Give me a full game, give me a price tag, here's my money, thank you! Spare me this "token" crap. =PPP

Wont they just use some other method to nickel and dime you? Like DLC, it's what they've been using. "Want these weapons? Stages? Items? Quests? Customization options? Alright, but give us more money after you paid for the product" In Capcom's case with SFxT they were actually going to withhold like a quarter of the roster so you could pay to unlock them.

That's more Bamco and friends' fault than it is Sony's.

Game is made by Namco, because Namco want do it
Microsoft don't allow it
Logic solution: blame Sony

Sound legit imho XD

People always love using SFxTekken as an example because what they did was a horrific example of nickle and dimming, their game mind as well have been a "free to play". They could have taken more content from you, but would people have been happy with it had it been a "free" download instead of an initial cost of purchase? They took 33% of the character roster, locked it, and made you pay for it. Hell they even locked color pallets and set-combos, they went insane!

Damn Sony that want force us to download free games, i'm so mad at them

Free to play games cater to poor people, slicing up what would have been a great gaming experience into little sushi pieces which you'll end up paying more for the whole game if you purchase them all. But it's aimed at poor people because they assume they'll only buy 2 or 3 characters. It's a race to under cut full retail games.

So basically the future of gaming can become a budget retail market where everyone has adopted SFxTekken's way of doing business, just labeling it "Free download!". It's only decent when it's a new game, not some DOA Core Fighters DOA5 rip off. >:P

TK Revolution and SC LostSwords are just ways for Namco to get some moneys
Low effort, good $ return
Same for others F2P Namco is doing

There is no proof that serious chapters like TK7 and SC6 will take the same route, and actually i doubt it
Both are little spin-off for a reason

I have no expectations for LostSword, i just hope increase the IP audience and give them some extra money$ for SC6

If end up a shit game no problem, Sony don't force me to buy anything (and still i can download the free starter version just to see how it is)
If end up decent your problem, MS don't allow you to play it

And don't allow Namco to make some money that they may potentially recycle to support next true SC

Again
Namco want do a free game -> MS don't allow it -> you blame Sony

LOL

I PRAY TO GOD that doesn't happen!! Lmfao!!!

I go on my iPhone, and all these games are "free download!" but as you play them, they spam me with "buy this, buy that, you only get 1 character!" If they would have just said "game is $10 you get everything" I'd be cool with that. Because even if I buy all the dumb content I'll end up pay $20 for it anyways. xD

"Free and worth every penny!"

Man when they said lost swords i was expecting some epic sequal set like 50-100 years later where the swords had been destroyed or scattered from the events at the end of 5. The world had been in a temporary peace until some new young fighter stumbles upon one of the swords and reawakens their powers leading to yet another hunt for the artifacts by completely new faces or maybe the decendents of some of the characters.

But nah,we got a mini version of a game for a console i dont even own.

Close enough.
