Project Soul wants to know your favorite characters!

  • Admin
Early this morning, the SoulCalibur Facebook page opened a poll to see who are the fan favorite characters in the series. The list seemed to have every playable SoulCalibur character in the list to choose from. The only ones I didn't see when I was skimming were the bonus characters introduced in SCIII and SCIV.

Considering that the vote includes Lost Swords character, then it is safe to say that this is for a future SoulCalibur VI character roster. Please note that this is not a confirmation for a SoulCalibur VI. It is only speculation on my part. If you would like to have your voice to be heard, then you should get on your Facebook account and follow the directions in the spoiler below.

VOTE FOR THE FUTURE OF SOULCALIBUR

Calling all SoulCalibur Fans! Project Soul would like to hear your voice.

They need to determine precisely who are the favorite characters of the community!
Beware, you can vote only once so choose carefully and wisely.
You still have time to think about it as this survey will last until May 31st.

Project Soul is probably preparing something huge... Stay tuned and spread the news! Thank you.

Be VERY CAREFUL when filling out the information before voting. The form allowed me to manually fill in my information, but messed around to see if I could skip the email part and move on. I figured out the hard way that once you are done with the first name, last name, and email part, you are then locked out from editing it altogether. I ended up borrowing my Mom's Facebook just so that I could finally get my vote in. However, when I used her account it auto-filled her information for whatever reason. All of that was a pain for me, but the voting part was easy.

You can only vote for one character when you do this. All you have to do is click the heart when you're hovering over the picture and that will count as a single vote. Who did you vote for? Comment and let us know who you want in the next SoulCalibur game!

WHENS SOULCALIBUR VI
I voted for Raphael, yet the only things I care is that they:

- bring back full movesets (because SCV gets closer to button mashing),

Who knows, maybe some day we'll get something acceptable. The last bit of hope is always the hardest to snuff out.
Lolololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol all the moves they removed were either trash to begin with, or were so absurdly OP that they shouldn't have even been made in the first place (See Asura dance or Anything Hilde used). I'm pretty sure people want to understand the guessing game as quick as possible, not play against gimmicks. Your view of SCV is insanely ignorant.

They said it's not for Lost Swords but for the brand as a whole... Reboot maybe?

Oh my goodness, I have no idea who to vote for! So many characters which I love in this series. I'm just so glad this has come around. It shows that they are listening, plus it's also something new and exciting for all of us as fans to participate in. Here's hoping for a new game and for the series to continue! :D

Well that gives us 1 month to figure out who our favourite character is then.

What is this big news that project soul "may" have.

I never understood all of the Talim & Zasalamel love after SCV. I mean, sure, they have interesting weapons and fighting styles, but I played A LOT of SCII and SCIV, and those two are barely played. Then again, I'm not a tournament player, so maybe I'm missing something.

Regardless, I'm kinda worried because I think those characters (if they return) are going to go back to being completely unused once the euphoria of them being back washes over.

Yeah, I feel the same as you. O only saw one Zasalamel player at a tournament in SCIV days, but even online I barely saw them. The only time I heard hype about them (especially Talim) was after they were cut. I'm not trying to offend anyone who mains them, but I just don't see how they're the most popular.

Or maybe I'm just salty kappa

Talim and Zasalamel are difficult characters to play as in Soul Calibur, mastering all their move sets requires a lot of time and effort to put in, but if you think about it Talim, Zasalamel, and include Taki are one of the best SC characters but yet can be bit difficult to master and put more time training to get better with them. I guess that's why they're still popular or well-liked.

Hmm... despite she wasn't in "Lost Swords," Tira of course going to be in the next game with no doubt, because they haven't took her out in SCV which is canon so she must be in SCVI.

It's been some time to hear this positive news
(thank god this narutard-games hype is nearly over and they can finally focus on other things)

They're low tier which is why they're seldomly used in tournaments. It takes a alot of good reads and skills to win. Which is why the crowd goes wild when you see an underdog winning lol.
Who'd want to see fifty players using the same top tier character? It gets boring but when you wanna win, that's what alot of ppl do.

Omega is the top Zasalamel player and i hope he gets his main back. Alot of other ppl uses Talim, (check out her forum) and we hope for her return as well
Edit: Yun and Mina were also replaced without a real weapon successor. Yet they're not that far up the poll. Talim and Zasalamel are definitely very popular. =3

As always, Japanese companies with their arbitrary one-vote polls. Is it that difficult to use multiple choice?

Anyway, I really would like to see Zasalamel and Setsuka back. If they keep Nightmare, Astaroth, and Ivy then I'll be content. Of course, supposing this is for a SCVI.
