What if they take it to the extreme (if you're a Namco employee, please don't read the following in case you take it seriously):
- Ivy's soul charge: whip mode
- Hilde's soul charge: switches from spear to sword
- Amy's soul charge: switches from rapier to orb
- Raphael: vampire form
- Nightmare: Siegfried form

By the way, has anyone paid attention to a lot of gameplay of Grøh? How does the two forms of his weapon work? Is dual-swords a specific stance? Is that also a Soul Charge thing?
Get out, now.

Maximillian doing a better job on Hyping Soul Calibur 6 than Bandai Namco lmao

Can't belive Soul Calibur and Bandai Namco US Twitter accounts still didn't post the new trailer

I just want to say that I love that Kilik's SC turns him into Omega Kilik, it really gives me hope that they're getting real creative with some characters' SCs and not just having it be an extended movelist and chip damage. I also can't wait to see how it affects Tira and her moods, though I think having her good stance locked behind meter would be a bit too limiting for her, but I don't know.

I'll say again I absolutely love the fact that the characters have extended monologues if they kill the opponent using the CE, but it goes on for too long for it to happen every round IMO, maybe they should only have monologue if you use CE to win the last round in a match.

I am curious to see when we’ll get a specific release date and the versions they’ll be offer (IE collectors, ultimate)

In general those kind of things are revealed 3 to 5 months before the release date. So considering SC6 may hit consoles around Q3 or Q4 of 2018 i'll say it may be in 2 to 6 months from now from now. Maybe around April, May or June?

Nah, I'm pretty sure if Tira is back they won't mess her stances, because it is been quite important to her style and lore.

10 DLC characters, huh?

The average price for DLC characters is between $5 and $8. So, a question for the entire thread: would you be okay spending between $50 and $80 on SC6 DLC?
$50 is the absolute max I'd spend for 10 characters. I wouldn't mind it too much because I'd get the base game for $35-ish (T7 got around this low on PC right before launch) and then spend $25 a year for extra characters. That's more than fine to me. But I wouldn't want to buy everything at launch like BBXT having half the roster be DLC at launch or Inj2 having a $40 season pass for 1 year. If the cost distribution is wide, I'm alright with paying a good bit of money for a game I'll spend a lot of time with.

Though ofc the ideal method would be earning free DLC like SFV, though if they did that, hopefully the aesthetic DLC wouldn't be inflated to compensate like SFV's $4 costumes.

So if Kilik's Soul Charge turns him into "Nightmare" Kilik, do you think that SC effect would extend to Created Characters that use Kilik's moveset/weapon?

I do now wonder how SC will apply to Created Characters, if at all. Maybe there will a mechanic in Character Creator where you get to choose your SC effect?

also, watched that 30 min Gameinformer vid last night. one of the guys mentioned that a Bandai Namco rep told him Xianghua is the main character of the Soul Calibur series??

I was surprised by that, but is that true?

my guess is we'll get a release date at E3, and it'll be out around October so that it's still fresh in people's minds for Christmas while also giving them time to release some DLC before Christmas as well.

At one point she was, she wielded the original Soul Calibur

Still salty about Hwang? Kappa

I just watched a Soul Calibur 2 Tournament (I think combo breaker) where the winner used Assassin and used a lot of Hwang's signature moves. So yes I'm salty. I'm salty because every character they cut further buries Hwang down the "Cut character jar" the more they cut the less incentive to bring him back.

I wish health bars changed colours the lower they get. Seeing that teal colour when your health is less than 25% weirds me out for some reason :/ doesn't look right.

Today was the day SCVI stuff was supposed to be happening right? Any news yet?

Is it just me or are combos gone in this game? max that ive seen is like 4-5 strings and back to reset. honestly that part I wouldn't like to play a tic for tack game. its a fighting game let ppl be punished for the mistakes severely by eating a stun into a 7-8 hit combo lol. either that's what there going for the casuals in mind or were yet to see the right ppl with the controls in there hands.

Should play SF instead

Soul Calibur's supposed to be about shorter combos and back and forth counters and mixups and such, surely you know that by now. Heck didn't they sometimes actively change moves to remove long high damaging combos in SCV?
