Hello guys !

Today I could record some gameplay videos with Djo, a french very good Nightmare player !
Here is the video :

Also i'm sorry, there are many things I don't do properly, as i'm not used to play controller anymore.

I had the chance to interview Okubo-san, SCVI producer for one hour !!! I asked him pretty much everything : Story mode, solo mode, team battle mode, customization, guest characters, switch, cross platforms, netcode, new characters, inspiration for Groh...we've discussed so much about everything ! He may have thought that it's hard to get away from me and my tricky questions :p

And don't worry he now knows about the Siegfried Love and that they would break your hearts if they don't put him in the game. lol
I told him to put 2B from Nier Automata in the game as a guest character, well, he blushed, has been silent, and say "sorry, can't say anything". I'm pretty sure that the name of 2B came in the suggested guest list characters by seeing his face :D, since they are working with Square Enix already for Noctis in Tekken...they're in good business relationships. Sooooo i'm dreaming of it.

He also said something interesting concerning the number of characters. I asked about the 20 slots characters, and he said that indeed there are 20 slots in the demo selection screen, but it's not definitive. So the number of chars at launch may increase. Definitely more chances to get Sieg :p

I'll write the full interview as soon as I can. I'm very happy i could discuss with him and tell him how much we love Soul Calibur. ;)

Am I seeing NM's old A+B from sc5 being safe on block and a way to get a free SC attack stocked??

Also 1:40 what on earth is that low? :O correct me if I'm wrong but is that a hell sweep launcher :O

Forgive my horrendously crude edit but this is more how I think/wish the character select should look:

I particularly like the way it is shaped like a shield this way too. I was thinking the very top corners (next to Mitsu and Sophitia's heads) would be for boss or special characters (like Apat and Opyrrah). Personally I'd like even more slots than that but this is all I could fit.

Yes, I know a slot for Bonus Characters is unrealistic and unlikely but I can dream can't I? ... Pretty please?

Forgot random character slot.

I wonder if new characters should be aimed at noobs or if they should be for veterans?

In Tekken 7 the less complex characters introduced from Tekken 5 onwards stayed while the harder characters were cut (Zafina) or replaced (Raven)

Why on Earth would you want that? I hope they change it so that it pops the opponent up for a combo.
Well yes, rater that. I didn't mean a ridiculous distance that would RO the opponent, but since it pushes the opponent away if they're standing, what sense does it make that they smash into the ground when they're mid-air?

After activating SC you're meant to go on the offensive. It would be preferable to have the opponent close in this situation, rather than having to chase them across the screen first. I personally think the whole pushback thing when activating SC is retarded, it seems like a lazy form of balancing, so they don't have to worry about any characters having OP combos and setups when activating SC, by preventing all combos and setups that could stem from activating SC.

Everytime Nightmare lands his "JF?" NSS bA it has that satisfying "ping" sound

Edit: In the video at 2:22, X goes for a GI that's obviously too early but it still deflects Nightmare's attack?Either she recovered so fast that she had time to go for another one, or the GI window is huge. What's up with that?
Yes it appears insane. Animation wise, you see the green glow disappear but then NM gets GI'd anyways

It looks like that slide-crouch punch (hits mid?) rather than some low. If it connects there is a follow-up with a giant uppercut that sends the victim flying.

Is this version of Soul Charge preferable to what it was before? I only ever used soul charge in the past for certain moves or if the opponent was dilly dallying.

Looked like he got a back dash counter from the kick. X gets stunned and gets pushed back a lot.

I just noticed when nm does his explosion attack he gets his SC aura. This a mechanic, aesthetic, bug?

Same as in SCIV and V I guess, mechanic that enhances some moves?

In SCIV, Nightmare has a personal Soul Charge called Terror Charge with A+B, 2A+B, & GS A+B. In SCV, NTC was dropped. In SCVI, it's back with A+B, 2A+B, & 4KK. The 2nd Hit of 4KK is Nightmare's WS A or the 2nd part of his SCV GS K [BE]. This will allow Nightmare to go into Soul Charge Mode without spending a bar of meter. If Nightmare has no meter he can just do moves in Soul Charge Mode via Terror Charge.
