It makes me sad to think that, with the time it took someone to design and model Nightmare's underthings, they could have designed and modeled an alternate set of armor for him and give us more customization options.

We should stop freaking out: just because we haven't seen something yet doesn't mean it won't be there.

When the game was revealed it was "normal" for us to fear that things we wanted wouldn't be included or that they would still shove replacements down our throats, among other bad things that could happen with the game. But come on, so far, Okubo has made the best decisions regarding the game, especially to please fans after SCV and LS, so I highly doubt we will get palette swaps instead of 2P, same goes for iconic characters like Cervantes as DLC.

We can have faith in these guys and in their vision for SCVI.

You’re right and I generally agree, however the precedent otherwise is T7 lack of alternates, default wise. You’re still right as it’s still way too early but an example of people’s fears does exist.

There's a reason for doing this. If we didn't have those palette swaps, we wouldn't have been able to see mirror matches. That was an issue with SCV. Imagine if that was the case, all gameplay from the first two builds would've been Sophie Vs Mitsu. Sophi Vs Sophi & Mitsu Vs Mitsu gave it somewhat more diversity in gameplay footage instead of the same thing over and over until more characters were revealed. Another thing that played a part in this, is that the first playable build of SCV had 4 characters: Mitsurugi, Siegfried, Pyrrha, and Patroklos. Whereas SCVI's first build had 2.

My only thought is once the P2 costumes are revealed and used, will the color palette swaps still be in the game? It seems like a waste with Character Creation be a thing. But at the same time, it would be a neat new addition if you do not like CaS & your opponent already chose the P1 costume. You can have the color palette swap choice instead of being forced to use P2 or another character.

Agree. What a waste of work! Characters looks so ridicolous without their pants.
Armor-Breaking amust be a toggleable option.

Ill have faith in them when RE be removed from the game Kappa

The entire game is built around RE. That's why we have so many GB moves now. What you're asking for at this point is a complete overhall and that ain't happenin'
GB moves bypass guard impact and harm guard meter. I personally don't think the lack of RE would be drastic with this new system
(unless they tune meter gain). It's unlikely anyways that they're going to remove something they spent time implementing on every character. So the only thing you can wish for is a way to limit it.

Tekken is different in that it doesn't always have alternate costumes, I don't think anyone in TTT2 had alternates outside of those shitty creation alts. While Soul Calibur has always had them. T7 not having alternates isn't entirely true anyways. Characters like Paul, Bryan, Hei, Devil Jin, and King off the top of my head have both their new and old costumes.

I know they wont get rid of RE, but they MUST limit their usage, by spending the super/soul charge meter, or being just able to use it when u have low health.

Your own considerations are your own consideration not fact, your just guessing, so it's not news, and it's not leak, and it's not tweet, it's retweet.

Also you are choosing carefully to just delete my comment, while my own comments weren't any different than other comment here that surprisingly didn't got delete. It seems maybe that you just have something against me even tho i don't even know you, and i'm sure you don't either.
I'm not the only mod in this thread that is deleting posts. Feel free to report any issues you have with the moderation to a different admin or Jaxel.

Why? RE is already risky to perform.

Edit: on the topic of alt costumes and t7. T7 does have alt costumes for the returning characters (except for bob and Nina) while everyone has alts in customization. But SC has always had alts and its pretty much a staple now so I don’t see them going in that direction.

Purple who then double down...

Heheheheh purple...

But in all seriousness I think we might not get new reveals this month. It seems like they’re lagging a little behind with each of these teasers, and between making a new test build that is polished enough to expose to the public, creating the new character trailers, and actually developing the game, I think that Project Soul might stave off another release until early April.

I don't think there's much reason to doubt that we'll get more reveals this month when GDC's coming up. It'd be weird for them not to reveal stuff there considering it's one of the largest games conferences in the world (I think maybe the largest in terms of number of devs).
Plus SCVI is probably Bamco's biggest upcoming game right now, since nobody cares about God Eater in the US or Europe and Code Vein might be a little bit too anime to draw too much mass appeal in the west.

As a side note, I'm guessing there's no news yet on a playable Zas/Ivy build? Since it was just two reveals I'm half expecting them to just wait until the next reveals for the next playable version.
