SoulCalibur VI: which 3 characters do you most hope for?

You know it occurs to me that no one asks this question. If people decide this can not be the final build based off the number of empty slots. How do you know it doesnt mean they could just remove the dots and shrink down the size for whatever the final build is? Why assume we would get more characters to fill it out?

No.... I am saying it’s not *necessarily* the final build, because of development timelines. It’s easy to make a playable build for the public separate from what they are currently working on. Additionally, there are many other reasons it’s obviously not the final build as others have pointed (not all the modes are there, incomplete movelists, etc.)
 
I’m wondering if the prevalence of the E3 build is due to the sloppy incomplete movelist text. Perhaps it was taking them a long time to fix

Nah. Movelist text wouldn't matter for a demo.

I think they just decided they didn't need a new build to promote the game. The E3 build featured (over?) half the cast, so it's a good indicator of what the final game will be like.

Yeah, I agree. But assuming the max limit for the poll is 10 choices, I think Z.W.E.I. and Viola should be moved to "Other" section since they are SoulCalibur V characters which are confirmed to not be in the game and out of the game's timeline.

For the sake of the game's timeline and considering the choice limit in polls, I think it should look something like this:
  • New Character
  • Hwang
  • Rock
  • Aeon
  • Cassandra
  • Yun-Seong
  • Setsuka
  • Amy
  • Hilde
  • Others (Li Long, Algol, Dampierre, Viola, Z.W.E.I., ..., etc.)

Also because generic Lizardman is now playable and can be created, I think the character should be called Aeon. It's like calling the character Human instead of Kilik or Malfested instead of Cervantes.

There could be other things to select besides just a character. Saved outfits or weapons for example. We havent even seen any sort of character editing so we really dont know how that works. Perhaps other options like turning off Soul Charge effects or removing the clothing break mechanic.

Those are after all, very odd places to put additional characters outside the CAS and Random select.

Not really about pessimism. I'd prefer they dump all the DLC in the middle spot.
 
Put another DLC slot above each of the two outer slots and it's a lot less weird, since, you know, there's four of them, and this way, they connect:

Looks to me like the perfect place to "reveal" Raphael and maybe even Cervantes. Namco has to face reality and understand that most fans already know of the existence of Cervantes and Raphael in SoulCalibur VI. They should just come out with it and give us the trailer and official art since we've seen them already.

Maybe then they will prepare something for Tokyo Game Show lol. (I'm wishing they would just reveal Hwang although I believe this to be unlikely)
 
It will also be just over two weeks after Azwel's official reveal.

Since Raph is French, it does seem to be a good opportunity to reveal him. Might be a better place than TGS.

Even though Cervantes is spanish, his full name is Cervantes de Leon, and the event is in Lyon. :P. So there’s a chance too. I am not counting on either but this would give a lot of room for TGS to reveal something more impactful.
