I just thought about what would be really cool with the new creator, if they'd remove the 3 ExEq slot limitation. Might be easily doable with technical prowesses of current-gen consoles, and UE4...wouldn't THAT be great !?

The only thing that concerns me is that we older creators will be able to dig through all the techniques TOO quickly. We really are too good at this, you know. Haha

10/10 on the riddle, and yeah both translations are equally good, happy holidays then...now enough off topic,

I just had a look at vids on CAS editor, the race preset is quite interesting and will offer a wealth of new possibilities i guess...we are no longer limited to wasting ExEq on creating alternate race looks, and there's a fair amount of different ones, like 16 or so.
This vid is spoiling though, so view at your own risk, probably posted somewhere else, mod feel free to delete in case :

This makes CAS even more relevant, to the developers at least, which seem to organize some kind of social media show-off around their own special fan-designed CAS...suffice to say it could be ugly presets with a random race name, but it seems they have their own facial features, body material and so on and so forth...i fear that we'll have to fight the same half-assed random CAS in story mode though, judging from the ones on display in the vid...would be great if (besides our own CAS 1P), we could weave our own CAS into the story modes at leisure (me dreaming out loud, lol)

SC6 CaS - the biggest DLC to SCV CaS yet. Looks like the sticker and ExEq systems were copy-pasted in (which is a good thing). So most, if not all, our old techniques like clipping and bump mapping should carry through, even place-by-view and place-by-axis shenanigans. Down to the good ol' 4 sticker limit! Time to recreate all our old characters in 4k! Honestly, after 6 years of SCV CaS, I'm so out of ideas, I can hardly imagine churning out more than like 2 pages of new CaS lol. Oh well. I still can't wait to see how the new generation of CaSers turn out.

@VILARCANE: Yes! Story mode with customs is confirmed! It looks like Project Soul caught on to the (financial) power of CaS.

Bruce, ole mate, don't uderestimate your R&D capabilities, i am sure you'll do more than reinvent the wheel and break new grounds as always. Ok, i admit i am just as much interested in your awesome reviews, you and Le Bel...oops Windupskely's hehe (i am gonna reread some of them in my old thread as we speak, for good times' sake).
I saw some new pieces of equipment in the vid, and there are the races, so i am ready to bet my left wing that you'll do more than 2 pages my friend. I'll even bet you the CAS of your choice, like when i did your Tycoon back then, remember, now you'll likely end up doing one for me lol , which i'd love :)

I am not sure about the learning curve though, might be steeper than you think with new menus and button presses maybe...

We'll see
 
Wonder if it would be considered illegal in some way to sell CaS creations to others if they wanted to pay a skilled CaS artist to design for them now that you can trade CaS made characters...
 
To me no, with the way Namco has implemented so far on CaS, I find them to be trash.

Why I find them trash, because all they do is copy the move sets from the originals; for a fighting game I find that boring.

With Soul Calibur 6 coming out, I only play CaS just to finish Libra of Souls campaign as I did already in Soul Calibur 3's Chronicle of the Swords.

I should add that if every race in Soul Calibur 6 has the inclusion of their exclusive move sets I might be interested in investing more time in them.

So for example, if the Lizard race has the extra ability to go into crawl stance and/or use his/her tail, those are exclusives to that race.
 
I've always enjoyed creating characters via writing, designing, etc. etc. So I really enjoy creating characters in CaS even if the movesets are carbon copies of other existing characters.

I would prefer more unique movesets, but after the way it was handled in SC III I think the current system is fine. Also the new ability to pick races also amps up the factor of enjoyably for me by 10.

Well it seems you and many others love only the cosmetic aspects of CaS. I don't see how SC3's CaS system is fine when it offers just that. The thing is if you guys only love CaS just for customizing looks then wouldn't it be better to download free dress-up apps for mobile gaming?

What more customized aspects does CaS have to offer than maybe just a story mode? Cuz when you look at games like Forza Motorsport, Skyrim, Monster Hunter World, they have custom characters but their customization extends beyond looks even other games like Dragon's Crown and the Witcher 3 that don't feature custom character creation have other customized aspects.

None of those games are fighters, and some who like fighters also like customization. I for example create D&D characters and stuff from my friends and my games and pick the closest style to them and fight with them. Also use the game to design some characters as I make them. Is fun for us to be able to make our characters and fight them against each other actively.
