Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Let's get back to what really matters:

Picking the lizard wizard's weapon.

and the hit effect

Also, this shows that Azwel has 7 weapons, just like everyone else. Given that we don't actually know what these weapons are, I guess you just go for whatever you like the sound of.
Interesting, there actually isn't a weapon called "Palindrome", but I suppose each of those things are technically "palindromes" in that they cancel each other out... but that's not really a palindrome at all... Kilik is the one true palindrome!

Please let there be more... Okubo... please... Okubo... help...

The icon used for Motion & Stillness is a yellow and green spiral (think 7UP). I really hope they aren't just generic recolors of his standard weapons because I'm not too sure some of those would look too visually appealing. And it's pretty lazy.

I mean, that's what Algol's extra weapons are, though it only recolors his aura, and not the swords themselves, so it wouldn't necessarily be a new occurrence. But I don't think the yellow and green means anything, either, since the level 4 weapon that Hayate unlocked for Geralt had the same icon as the level 1 weapon for Geralt, so it's likely that all of Azwel weapons have the yellow and green. Why they are yellow and green, though, instead of blue and red, that's the real mystery.

They still have 3 weeks to go, burning all the info left, which I imagine it is not a lot at all, needs some rationing.

Also, can I point out how hypocritical is to ask for the season pass information, after half of the pearl clutchers here went on a tirade when Tira was announced for it?

What is actually left to be announced/revealed?
*Unlockable characters (not something we should be told about)
*DLC characters (something we are being asked to purchase)

So I guess we ought to know who the DLC characters are prior to launch? And might they reveal that at the prologue battle tournament?

I didn't care at all about Tira dlc because i never cared about Tira. (But i understand that someone can like her of course.)

In fact i just wanted Seong Mi-Na and Raphael, was very afraid that they wouldn't be here and here they are.
And then i hoped for Setsuka (that i don't know to play but is beautiful) and Hilde (that i never played but looks classy) and here i understand that if season pass slots contain Lizardman and Hwang, then Setsuka and Hilde would be maybe definitively out.

However i thought about it last night at 5am watching TGS, and as a casual i just remembered how i was happy with what i had playing Soul Edge, and then happy with what i had playing SC3. And had no internet and wouldn't have even thought of asking for something else.
So i'll just take what there will be and be happy with it.

At this point, I figure any final reveals will be done through their social media platforms, give or take some leaks.

But I'm also betting that they'll be leaving a fair bit to be discovered within the game itself at launch. The slots might be for DLC, or they might all be minor unlockables. Bonus-character-tier Lizardman or Hwang, or mimics/bosses like Abyss and Edge Master. Edge Master in particular seems likely, since he's got a fresh HD-gen model from SCV that they can use, which has been the big theme of SCVI.

As much as I enjoy the thrill of discovery, it can be a risky business strategy in this day and age of information. Generally it works best when you've got a rock-solid reputation for delivering the goods, which... SoulCalibur kind of hasn't in recent times. In spite of that, SCVI is shaping up better than I had hoped for a year ago. I'm stoked to finally have the chance to play it on my own TV next weekend, and then have it for good just two and a half weeks after that.

We are under one month away, people.

Assuming it was indeed a final count, the 149 weapons thing still has me going that we've got at least Lizardman coming. Lizardman could exist with only 2 weapons, those being Xi Sword & Game Shield and this Hand Ax & Round Shield he's got going on. Or if he only has the Hand Ax, then it opens the possibility to see Hwang with only Blue Thunder as a weapon, so they would each have 1 weapon. But the E3 story trailer clearly showed Lizardman in the Schwarzstrom with a sword, but then again, it showed his sword in his left hand, while he's wielding his ax with his right hand... it's just so bizarre.

I'm a bit worried how well balanced the new build characters are going to be by release. Perhaps the demo build could be all of the characters not in the E3 build so that they can test the network and test some of the other characters; this way they could have a day 1 patch if necessary to fix anything that is needed.

You missunderstood her, when she asked If there would be a online beta, during E3, he said he was not sure about It.

Ah ok i though she was talking about some new interview or something, didn't pay attention to evo.
