RagingGhost
[10] Knight
Probably the closest thing to how I'd see Season 2, unless I'm proven wrong and that Bamco added Hilde as Yell. As for Yellow, I still think it's Hwang.

Saying Yellow isn't Hwang, is like saying Reptile isn't Lizardman because another character wore a reptile skin coat once.
That's why I'm kinda skeptical about algol and li long. Doubt the less hardcore fans will give a fuck about Li Long, even if we do. Not sure what the point of rock is, if people just think "muscle grapple man the second". I'd like to see classic characters but I think we're probs gonna get at least 1 guest, and I doubt we'll get rock or Li Long. People have been clamouring for Hwang so he's more likely. I really would like Hwang, Algol and Li Long. I'm happy to just sit back for the ride and hope we dont get necrid.I think there is a key element to this season pass many of us are forgetting with our speculation. Drawing the obvious conclusions from the codenames leaves us with a lineup of relatively unpopular characters. Setsuka alone isnt going to sufficiently carry sales. Her, Hilde and Yun might do well. Aeon, Hwong, Algol, Rock and Li Long will not. Yet many of them appear match well with the codenames and i think most of us are in agreement with who matches to what... except Yell.
With an almost entirely unpopular lineup, they'd have to include a guest. Not doing so would be marketing suicide. I dont see most of these selling very well.
I doubt if Bamco will pay to Todd McFarlane to use this character again.hope we dont get necrid.

Much as I don't care for another guest, I'd be surprised if we didn't get one.
Only other issue with that is that I can't think of a single character that's currently relevant, looks aesthetically appropriate, and has an interesting fighting style.
Thus far, any that come to mind is missing at least one of those things.
Honestly though, I've long felt that Necrid gets more hate than he deserves. Sure, he's....different, but not really a whit more than a third of all other Soul Calibur characters at this point! Plus, one thing people forget about him: he was kind of a beast, and even if his model is underwhelming, his moveset is actually is quite fun--the concept of mixing and matching variations on the moves of the other characters, with new timing, dynamics and properties, actually came together in a pretty entertaining and competitive style. I played and labed him a little when SCII HD Online came out, and re-discovered just how much he can put vets on the backfoot. As highly unlikely to ever happen as it is, I would nevertheless welcome his moveset being transferred to another character or into CaS (Devil Jin style) some day; I think that goofy MacFarlane design was a disservice to a well-executed concept.
By aesthetics, I'm referring to character design. Yes, 2B is a robot, but it's not like she's decked out in futuristic battle armor or has visible wiring or anything. She looks more human than not and she's got a gothic lolita-inspired design, which isn't new for this series. Visually she's not particularly out of place.Dark Souls, Castlevania and Samurai Showdown all have good candidates i think. They just wont have the same impact as 2B.
Of course they've already thrown aesthetics out the window anyway so i dont know if that would matter.

Legit question. Who's that? What game?
Oh so Dante? Yeah, I'd take thatDevil May Cry 5.
