the last one is Manji clan's sign i think....

Hwang is almost certainly going to feature a Yun-seong cameo, as he wishes senpai would notice him. But maybe when Hwang doesn’t, Yun-seong will defect to Chile and find Li Long, setting him up for season three. That would be an interesting divergence!

But seriously, the odds of Li Long having any interaction with Korea is quite low, and he was lucky to get his aside mention in Xianghua’s story. Kind of sad he didn’t get anything in Taki’s story. Li Long really is the hardest inclusion, with his lacking context, unless they give him all-new story, of course.

Rock and Aeon are linked, too, so unless they keep using Lesser Lizardman to represent Aeon in Rock’s story, it seems likely that Aeon would come first, so he could take part properly when Rock came around.

That's something I was wondering... If Rock is announced first, this automatically desconfirms Aeon?

No because the story could be different this time around. While in SC1 Rock and Lizardman were linked they could gloss over that. Or they could have Rock fight the "Lesser Lizardman" AI characters.

Lizardman is a weird case for me because while it seems obvious they would work on him for DLC, the fact that they made a specifically AI only version of him (Lesser Lizardman is a brand new character ID they made for SC6) maybe means low priority.

It means at the time they didn't want to seriously work on Lizardman due to popularity and roster size budgetary restrictions, yet there was no way in hell they could tell the story of SC1 properly without him, so a lazy compromised version had to be put in place. Chances are it will be switched for a proper Lizardman should Season 3 happen.

There's also the fact that, for any given story beat that two characters share, that beat can be represented in either character's soul chronicle, so I'm not really sure the order matters much. There's also the fact that they could add Lesser Lizardman to Rock's/or any other forthcoming character's soul chronicle and then replace it with the complete Lizardman style at a later date if necessary. For that matter, since it's only an AI in a non-competitive mode, they can slap whatever "more complete than Lesser Lizardman, but not yet finished Aeon-Lizardman" style on to Aeon for any fights he has in the soul chronicles of other characters, if any.

For my part, if there is a season 3, I'm pretty sure both Rock and Aeon will be locks. I'm not so sure about the order: Dante's theory has merit, but I'm not sure that one continuity issue is the biggest factor they will consider in their approach to the order, given there are multiple ways to approach the SCI-derived narrative cross-over between Aeon and Rock--which presumably would only amount to a couple of missions in the soul chronicle anyway, right? I'm not that familiar with the lore, but if I remember correctly from Dante's references, it amounts to Lizardman stealing Rock's weapon and Rock giving chase? That's a minor enough plot point that it could be ignored, and even if it is replicated, I can't imagine it taking more than a handful of fights/interstitial to resolve.

I'm not so sure that they will "switch" this Lesser Lizardman out of the game. If you are correct they will add a DLC finished version of him, but the original Lesser Lizardman is baked into story mode and Libra of Souls so he will remain.

Original Lesser Lizardman is a poor bugged clone, nobody is gonna miss him. I think Project Soul devs are competent enough to unbake and rebake any character in any story mode if they want.

They didn't update Libra or story to include the wolf stage or the bell version of kilik's stage (or any of the guest dlc stages) so my expectations are very low.

Not his weapon, it's Aeon stealing Bangoo, and Rock rescuing him. In the process, Aeon breaks Rock's axe, so he has to replace it with his new mace.
Oh--I thought it might be that, but then it didn't quite sound right--I mean, how does a lizard person abscond with a boy? Does he have a (wait for it) Lizardvan? :O Anyway, that's obviously a much bigger thing, plotwise, so I get why you think it makes more sense for Aeon to be released first--though I do think there are work-arounds if they decide rock is the more vital character--for example, if the fact that there is already multiple sword and shiled styles in the game and a relative paucity of super heavies convinces them that Rock would be the bigger headliner.

Yup, I have to go with Dissidia on this one: the strongest argument for Lesser Lizardman being preserved in the game is the fact that the devs (probably rightly) might not view the swap (no matter that it would probably take a couple of employees a couple of days to implement) as an efficient use of limited skeleton/continuing support staff resources. Now, it is possible that they would leave lesser lizzies in on most of those libra/soul chronicle fights, but swap in the fully developed Lizardman in just a few places where it is clear that it is "the" Lizardman one is meant to be fighting, but even that seems like a longshot outside of maybe soul chronicle event or two. And of course, partly it comes down to whether Aeon's moveset is comprehensive of the lesser lizardman style--meaning, will Aeon have all of LL's moves, plus more, or will LL have a handful of moves that do not get carried over to Aeon's full moveset?
