Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Yess, this move may finally become useful.

bro can you pls like spoil your speeches, its like you are writing a novel on this forum or something.
give it up. I've already tried to get him to understand that this is not an English paper or a dissertation. He simply doesn't comprehend that. I told him to make his posts short and to the point. No one wants to read that shit. He's thick headed that way.

EDIT: Just click 'ignore'. Problem solved

Yeah, you do realize that it took you longer to write that post than it was ever going to take you to just scroll past every one of my posts that you're going to see in your entire life? I mean, I have come to understand that this particular forum has awful lot of people on it from the twitter generation, but you do realize that people are still allowed to take to take more than 140 characters to express themselves if they feel like it, without feeling the need to hide their thoughts in embedded structures for the convenience of a super-entitled, low-attention span class of person who for some reason has a visceral reaction compelling them towards the need to complain at the sight of--egads!?--four consecutive whole paragraphs of text? ...that they could easily scroll past ...or avoid altogether by simply using the ignore function if they find my style of posting too taxing on their eyes?

Novel nothing--there are people here who I can only presume would have a panic attack if they opened a book on a substantive topic, and whose minds would melt if they took a wrong turn into a library... Seriously man, I don't like being brusque like this, but, holy god people today feel entitled to complain about things that have absolutely zero consequence for them. Seriously, please just ignore me if you find me verbose--I encourage it. I'd rather my thoughts were out there for whoever does have the inclination to read them, and those who don't...well, your loss, but you have every tool you will ever need at your disposal to not have to deal with those .05 seconds stolen from your life to scroll past my thoughts.
Plenty of us are well educated and spend many hours reading. I read books, articles, etc.

Get this through to your head:

This is not a website where people want to read large pages of texts. It's not because of their attention span, as you are simply projecting your judgmental assumptions on to people because they don't like the length of your posts. Get over yourself. You're just lashing out now and calling people names because numerous people have told you to pipe it down. You refuse because you're one stubborn motherfucker.

You like to write, there is nothing wrong with that in and of itself. You also write well. This isn't the place for pages of text. Go write your articles somewhere else and keep it short and sweet.

You wanna talk about attention span? Try playing chess at the high level (like myself). You wanna put yourself on this pedestal "hey look at those dumb ADHD kids who can't focus for more than 5 seconds , I'm so much better blah blah". Whatever bullshit elitist superiority complex you have stems from pure ignorance and arrogance. You know nothing about anyone on this site unless you actually know them in person. Don't assume shit.

This is the last message I will give you. I gave you plenty of chances, told you very politely to shorten it the first time, and what did you do? You came back with this insulting childish BS about my signature and my opinions on which games I like best.

What a piece of work you are.

This isn't about our relative level of focus, Grand Master back-patter, and it certainly isn't about any kind of elitist attitude I have brought to this discussion. Its about people such as yourself trying to set the terms of the involvement of others on this forum, for reasons that don't even rise to a level we could call trivial concerns. Why would you take time out of your day, as you've done multiple times before, to berate someone else for taking "too much time" to talk about their hobby...on a forum that exists expressly and solely for that purpose? What possible mature and reasonable concern could you have for doing that, other than just belly-aching for the sake of it? What possible difference could it mean to your day to justify that kind of judgemental, controlling behaviour over someone else's acts of expression, placing yourself in the role of arbiter as to how others should communicate here? And fyi, most of those "bloated" posts you complain about get likes from other people; has it ever occurred to you that you might not be my only (or even my primary) target for conversation and that other might find value in them you don't? If you don't find my or anyone else's posts worth the effort of engaging with, for whatever reason, there's a simple and civil solution--just don't. Ignore them. Hit the ignore function on me if you feel you must. But don't expect me to cater to your demands of what a "reasonably-sized" exploration of the topic is. Why should I format my thoughts to accommodate your expectations when there is no rational need for it, pragmatic or otherwise? Move along; if my posts aren't for you, they are also none of your concern.

And for the last bloody time, nobody attacked you about your sig as part of a tit-for-tat. That comment was clearly meant in good humour, this being back before I realized you were incapable of recognizing it. You seem to have lost all perspective, but go back and look at that post. It had winky faces and indications that it was not meant to be taken literally all over it. I there was any doubt, my follow-up posts should have dispelled it. For that matter, when you first complained about my post length, I took it completely in stride, as I recall, without even a hint of insult. Why would I suddenly change my mind weeks later and "come after" you with the objective of belittling you? Had I known you would take that sig joke as an invitation to a grudge match, I certainly never would have said it, but at this point you can either accept that I am being sincere with you, or keep holding on to that feeling of affrontment, needlessly. But I expect I'll be hitting the ignore button on you following this, so the matter is largely academic at this point. If only I could hit yours for me, since your fingers seem incapable of it, I could rest at night knowing that you wouldn't have to inflicted with the sight of my offensively long thoughts on complicated topics. But I'll just have to settle for not hearing about it any more.

I'm going with Yell being Bangoo because Rock is always yelling out his name. Finally, we get him in-game and playable. WE DID IT, BANGOO!!!

You know, if not for the fact that Rock was a likely pick on account of "STONE", I'd be tempted to say that's a compelling theory. But I can't imagine any moveset they would be inclined to give Bangoo that wouldn't be duplicative of Rock and Astaroth. Besides, its looking increasingly as if the objective for DLC is to fill in most of the pre-SCV cast, punctuated by a handful of guests, which is unsurprisng on both counts. I always thought it was odd that Bangoo wasn't featured in SCV as one of the "understudy" styles (though just the tip of the iceberg in terms of irrational absences there). But I can't say as he seems like a good fit or likely candidate for one of the Second Season Six. Gosh, YELL would work pretty well for him though, wouldn't it?

I'm at work Rn, so I can't view twitter, what do the code notes say? Anything cool?
Edit: Wait Stone, Yell, Star, Snow, Reptile Yellow?

I SUppose Yellow could be Damp or Cass, Both are quite loud. Yell could Also be Hilde Screaming her as off about her homeland. Seems in character. I'm actauy so hyped. Thanks, @DanteSC3

They say:
Code:

Rock pls no

Oh, let's not start that, please! I know he's not the most popular character of all time, especially in his last outing, but surely he wouldn't hurt anything by being included. It looks like they are trying to close out all or most of the classic roster with the DLC, and he has a place--especially given SCVI to date is pretty light on the heavies ...err, you know what I mean! I can understand misgivings about who might be absent for him to be present, but surely he, in and of himself, is not really a reason for concern? My dream scenario: season 1 as planned, season 2 as five returning classics, 1 guest, season 3 as the three remaining SE-SCIV main cast members, 1 guest, and two more CaS packs. I'll swear my soul in unending fealty to Namco if that happens! They could add a dozen changes equaling RE in dubiousness in SCVII and I would still buy it if they give me those 30 main cast members, plus four guests, plus the new additions.

If the six really were Li Long, Hwang, Rock, Lizardman, Yun-seong, and Setsuka, then we'd have everyone from SoulBlade to SoulCalibur III except mimics.

@Robert_J_King I checked Ivy's 6BB, my first assumption was correct. It still jails and cannot be sidestepped, but now hits opponents attempting to crouch so the 6BB/6BA mixup has become viable on block.

As for Raphael, the damage & scaling nerfs are unnecessary. It's not worth spending meter for a CE anymore after Form dodge B hits. The WR BB nerf is the worst, but the new WR bK he got improves his already insanely strong wall game. It's an i12 punish that is safe on block and leads to 111 damage (129 damage with Soul Charge) if the angle is correct. iPrep is still + on block. One thing the patch notes doesn't mention is that his Arriere Gambit aGI actually got buffed. Previously, 2A interrupted all options besides RE after blocking his 4(B). But now, 2A gets reflected by the aGI, which means the impact speed was made faster. Raphael still feels like a very strong character.

Yes, I have misgivings about who might be absent. Before Rock, I would like Viola, Setsuka, Hilde, Yun-Seong (or Hwang) and even another new character. If they want to earn money with the season passes they should include characters people will actually want to buy.

Well, Rock's not completely without his advocates, and there's going to be plenty of either revenue-generators in that pack regardless, if the speculation is even partially on point. I'm betting PS is willing to make some deviations from strict popularity to finish their vision. But I think Setsuka and one of the dao wielders are also likely choices, for what it's worth, based on what we know now. I think we may be waiting on Algol and Hilde, though, based on those same indicators, assuming "star" is Hwang or Yun-Seong.
