I am slowly getting... (missing verb portrayed by the bonus pic below ;o)...

...of CAS creation though, as i am left with no more free slots on my USB device, so i'll give it a break for a while, i hope i kept you entertained until now, and it was really fun being part of the adventure of creating unique CAS (i am to around 70 i guess)...

Transcending the flaws and limitations of the CAS editor really requires a lot of energy and some kind of twisted mind...a game of its own, worth more than most of the offline modes in the installment of our favourites series...

Sometimes, creating a CAS left me drained of creative energy for a while...looking at the comments of some other posters i think i am not alone (how many CAS do we have in us ?)

I will indeed forever be thankful to Project Soul for the love and attention put into the amount of equipment incompatibilities, clipping issues and other weird wonders of the CAS editor...i know for a fact they just put those little annoyances on purpose to keep us entertained for hours, scratching our heads or just screaming the F word at great ideas impossible to translate into actual designs ;o(((

I hope Pocky Yoshi will find something funny to say about this...

I will stop posting CAS for now but i sure will stick around for a while to see if you guys have comments or questions/tips (and still waiting on Gabedamien's Tali V2.0 to be posted here ;o)

I will probably upload my whole thumbnail collection as well at some point...
 
you should take the "hat off" pic of edge master 3P without the halo ring, it's seems a laser visor without the skull mask XD
Nice work, it's a waste we can not use the edge master's beard for CaS...hope for the 3rd April upload ^ ^

sure, i just wanted to mess with the halo ring and skull helmet a bit, i even did a pretty funny predator attempt using the halo ring on the skull, a ball, and the bettle horns for the rasta, sadly kept no picture of it ;o)

While i am at it, i will throw in my last pics, the thumbnail collection part 2 (after posting the batch on my HDD, here is the batch on my USB drive, so part old / part new designs since i wanted to keep some CAS duplicated for backup)

The keen eye will be on the hunt for a specific CAS i never showed to anybody, my secret project of some sort, the first one to name it will get the last bonus pics of this thread (at least from me ;o)

Wow, really good. Um, rabbit ears for the ears, raccoon tail for the back part of the hair, and a simple geometric (guessing cube, maybe cylinder) for the nose?
 
thx u almost got everything right except the nose is a horn, geometric shape dont shrink that much in size. hey where is your tali, posted it yet or giving up on besting mine ? lol

Heh, haven’t gotten around to it yet, been busy. Don’t worry, it’s coming!
 
No prob, take your time, i haven't started trying to best your Liara either, but i got your formula, which might make it a tad easier for me ;o)
Problem i don't have any slots left, so i might have to slaughter one of my two Ewoks (he won't suffer i swear ;o)

Very nice I like nose ... we played around with the nose a little but decided to use the object someplace else... but you really made it work. Great job.

Now that i surf a bit on the other threads, i really must say only a handful creators really impressed me with their creations and their mastery of the CAS editor, you (i mean both of you), Murasame, Matty, Gabedamien, are one of those who caught my eye !

I hate that I am writing this now because it might seem like I am just being polite ... and that isn't what fuels this ...
but your stuff is so cool!
I don't know how, but I missed seeing a bunch of it. I just spent the last half an hour going back and reading and watching and looking....and now I am really sad you hit 50.
...also it is so cool seeing the drawings mixed in.
You make a lot of really strong choices with your characters... there are so many that are unique/creative, but what gets me with your stuff in general is that it seems to really touch on a feeling. I find myself always emotionally piqued by your characters, repulsion, attraction, fear sadness ... all the good ones.
We both enjoy your creations :)

On a side note, do you post your artwork anywhere else?
 
Shucks, you’re doing my ego too many favors (and putting on the pressure to come up with some worthy new CAS!).

Anyway, I hope you continue to post new material from time to time.

On-topic, great creations yet again! It's been some time since I've last came to 8wayrun to look at people's stuff, and I'm just, if not more impressed by your work every time. When I look at many of your CAS, I really seem to feel how much fun you had making them haha.

Hell yeah i had fun doing this collection !

right now, i am just low on creative energy, but i'll come back as soon as i feel the urge, and i'll keep an eye on the DLC for inspiration and fresh ideas, and maybe buy 1 or 2 if needed...

@chobek : glad you discovered a few things, and i posted actually closer to 70 than 50 CAS ;o) Unfortunately, no, i do not post drawings elsewhere, i mostly draw for family and friends.
 
I bought the character equipement 1 DLC, against my principles, but i must admit some of the parts look better than the standard ones...i wanted to create a CAS out of asta's special underwear, you know, those :

The face / head portion claimed a lot of work, most CAS parts are new/DLC parts mixed up for good measure ;o)
