Unfortunately he's the hardest character to unlock. You have to complete Legenday Souls mode which you can't play until you finish story mode. >.>

WHAAAAAT. I am not prone to such things. What a chore. I miss the days when you could just pick Astaroth and beat story mode with him once to unlock Algol in like 10 minutes tops. Funny how he was easier to unlock when he was the final boss.

I don't who holds that info. I guess Idle would know. Or Kayane. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, the rumor was given some credibility because Kayane retwitted it.
