The Comprehensive Patsuka Combo List!

This should be pretty damn complete except for a few areas (wall combos, ag:B combos that I can't get consistently) and I will test and update anything else I see posted around here.

(Also, I'm going to start referring to "Umbrella" as "Twister" because there's no more umbrella and it's confusing new players. Twister is short for "Sakura Twister," notation: 214~3aB or FC3aB, adn also the JF version 214~3a:B)

**And lastly, a quick note about hitting 2A(BE) after 8A+B,B in some combos. This is very CHARACTER DEPENDENT, and will be inconsistent at best with some of the smaller characters (particularly the girls). Proximity to walls can alleviate the whiffing though. Basically, being in a corner is Patsuka's friend as far as hitting that link multiple times in a combo.**

Well, as an old Sets main, I'll probably contribute as much as I can day 1. I'm still not entirely sure if I'm going to stick with him. But I'll definitely use all the old knowledge I had of how she worked from countless hours in training to come up with some day 1 stuff faster than any other character.

I believe those are the correct notations. I just was playing around and it's like I knew how to do it by instinct...

So I actually haven't messed with A pat all that much recently. Been working more with viola, Zwei, Ezio and Natsu.

However, it seems that after 214~3B:B you can always land 2 reps of JF umbrella. Which is just silly. It leads to combos like 44B+KA+B+K 214~3B:B JF Umbrella JF Umbrella, which is a WAY better way to spend gauge.

Along with that this seems to work off 1B:B as well, but I've actually only done this like twice. I don't know if it's a hitbox thing, as it was against asty. But I'll check later when I boot up the game again. Been a productive first day with other characters. Plan to mess with apat when I wake up.

EDIT: I lied - I tested it before I went to sleep. It worked on Pyrrha too. So 1B:B 214~3B:B JF umbrella JF umbrella = around 100 damage.

What input is "Umbrella" when you're referring to his moves? I'm new to this fighting style.

"Umbrella" is: FC 3aB or 214~3aB.

I think it's called something like Shooting Star (edit: it's the "Sakura Twister") or whatnot in the new move list. He flies forward in a spiral and spins his sword around him.

Apologize for cluttering the thread with basic knowledge questions. To follow up, why are there two colons between the B's in one of those lines but a single colon in the other? Also, why is one of the B's lower case and the upper, but not touching like in a JF notation. And finally, what exactly is a JF? Does it simply mean strict input or is there a specific frame value this indicates (1 frame link, 2 frame link, etc)

1 hit just frames are usually fastest input. Multi-hit just frame attacks generally require hitting the second attack button in the string on the same frame the first attack connects on. The window may be larger than 1 frame in SCV though, as I heard the windows were increased.

Yep, it's proper. And the last hit is the hardest one because it's slightly off from the frame of impact of the previous hit.


And the reason there are two colons is because it's a typo :)

My JF's are usually done by instinct, when I "try" to do them I fail horribly. King-_-Kelz-_- and MGVFinest t0ld me I would start doing them naturally I never believed them but I guess after you use him for 4 years it will be second nature for you too =0
