Are you top tier? Test! v1.

I find SOME of these questions to either either have
1) nothing to do with your skills... example.. number of throws/throw breaks.... that's very dependent on the character you're playing and playing against... if you try to throw 10 times with Lizzy/Talim.. you fail... if you are playing against them you might not even have a chance to break that many times.. vs if you're playing against rock.. even a noob will break it a lot because rock will throw you 20 times in the match

or

2) the options listed isn't the best option ....one example....... GI second hit of Asura... imo... that is risky... but why am i risking a GI that guarantees me 0 damage.. vs... i can block and get free damage? I simply don't understand the logic behind it...

there's more of these examples that i'll put in category 1 or 2 but i think some of these questions don't apply.

Got a +9. Although I still believe I'm average at best... just because I randomly mash A (mostly A+B) and B when I'm anticipating a throw against me and it works about 70% of the time, doesn't mean crap in tournaments when anticipating a throw or low only to be hit with a mid or being mindfuck'd when I think a Nightmare is going to do a 1A low, so I try jump attacking, only to be met with a high fist >.<

Some of these options are not optimal depending on what character you play / play against. Jumping some lows are every bit as good as 9K especially considering that you get a free back throw. IMO stepping left vs asura is more reliable than GI, you get guaranteed damage. Same goes for mid/low mixups, for example, Mitsu 2KB/3B mixup, stepping right is a much better option compared to GI.

When your back is against the wall, how often do you get rung out, for eating Mitsu A+G throw or Raph B+G throw and such.

FAIL

If your back is against a wall, you cannot be run out with B+G or A+G in these situations cause...well...there is a wall in the way...that is why there is a difference between Walls and nothing

#1... do you mean on or offline? This is very character dependent as well. I'm NOT gonna duck most characters, but there are a few I might. Also is very OPPONENT specific. I'll take a 0 therefore.

#2... I'll takea +0, but its probably about 99% doesn't work 1% works. But you said NEVER get hit. So i'll take my 0 with a grain of salt.

#3.. I'm gonna keep this off my report card...lol..cuz its not a very viable question. If I can get a CH high to land and push him away... or land a grapple (technically a high) then good for me. I get the point...bullrushing....But sometimes highs are a good option. Its just too....set in stone...to say NEVER for something like this...whatever...0

#4.. what do I get if I step it or block it about 80% of the time?? That being said, I'm too fucking lazy to bother trying to J Ukemi against mitsu. I'll take a 0 cuz there wasn't an answer for me.

#5.. 0... but yea... why would I use A+B with cervy when its a shakeable stun as opposed to ducking and using A+B or rising a? I'll take a 0 with some more salt plz..lol

#6.. again...ppl said it... I'll take a n/a ...or a 0...either way...whatever..lol

#7.. I'll take my first 1 on this one I guess. Although TECHNICALLY I don't ALWAYS do the same thing. Usually I'll go into DGF and K them with yoshi but sometimes I'll use pogo B into ear slicer. This one is very situational. If you have the ringout there are some options that do less damage but are the better choice. Honestly... and answer about dodging a move only 1 way... just shows lack of understandign your surroundings. There is not a single character in the game where there isn't the option to use a slightly weaker move to get better wake (which depending on your opponent can be better than getting 10 more damage...).

#8.. probably c...but character dependent again... +1

#9.. i'll take a zero... I am not that great at throw breaks except for obvious ones. it is guessing afterall...

#10.. I get a -1 on this... ... I GUESS. Whiffing to set up imcf traps gets me a negative 1 though??? BALDERDASH!!!

#11.. depends .... is sidestepping something and then punishing a "whiff"?? too ambiguous... 0.
#12.. simple... +1

#13.. well I'll take a +1 but I that on the assumption that ppl know I dno't JI full speed kicks and what not.

#14.. I'll take a 0... cuz I can play AGAINST everyone... but I can't play AS everyone (fuck talim yun...etc... blah blah blah to them...I don't care about em so why bother learning to use them. I 'll guard thier shit but for the life of me I don't need to know what button they used to do the move i just TJ'ed.....)

#15.. 0... a few of them sometimes get by me.... but only for characters nobody play really... all the important shakeables..yes...but ALLLLLL of them?? probably not.

#16.. 0.. anyone that says +1 is a liar. whether you THINK it or not. Everyone is nervous before ANYTHING. chemical changes in the body etc. Some ppl just take it worse than others. Does it affect me?? mhee... maybe for the first round... after that its just normal until it gets to a "down to the wire" moment. At which point everyone is stressin'

#17. huh??? well... given that most command throws you KNOW are coming a certain way... I'll just say +1 cuz the question is a bit... ... yeaaa...lol.

#18 +1
#19 +1
#20 +1 (but you won't get rung out unless you let me get a move that rings you out... yea...lol...)

the cockiness of the +1 answers as well as the lack of knowledge or lack f taking into account situations make this hard to answer very easily....

either way... whats that... +7 I guess?

1. When someone runs at you, how often do you duck in anticipation of a throw or low, only to be met with a painful mid?

8. What is your throw connection ratio in a best to 5 match?
a. 1-2 a match.

This question is representative of KingAce's understanding of what it means to be good at a fighting game is, as well as his understanding of 5th grade math.

The only question should be (assuming banned characters):

1. Can you use Hilde well or can you consistently defeat all good Hilde players?
If no, you suck.
If yes, then you aight.

1. C - I hold a duck and then stand at the last second if I don't see a familiar low animation start.
2. C - I don't let them grab me near edges
3. B - Fuck 66K! Arg!
4. B - In the world of online I dunno, but I sure as hell attempt it.
5. C - Duck iCS is hawt! Also 4K!
6. C - mmmmm predictable strings.
7. C - CH 9B_9gB, 214K!
8. C - 6+ (I'm a throwing whore! Now with B+G!)
9. A - I'm sooooooo bad at this.
10. B - Some are tech traps at safe distances though.
11. C - Offline I will never miss a CH attempt
12. A - Working on it!
13. C - Any offline match or one with a good connection will see lots of GIs
14. A - All I got is Ivy :(
15. B - Can't tell online LOL. I just try to waggle anytime i see a stun!
16. B - I dive into unsafe habits occasionally.
17. A - I can't break normal throws.
18. C - I am "GI" Joe!
19. C - Holding them in red means free hits for 3 rounds! My SG game is AMAZING.
20. B - I can react to positioning but I rarely push them where I need them.

6

not bad, though i feel the things that brought me down are things I tend to avoid needing to do...I duck throws, i just can't break em.

wait.... I thought right trigger originally is mapped to A+K+G+B??? doesn't matter... I haven't had that shit mapped in fuckin FOREVER. How the hell would they expect me to be able to hit A+K on an xbox pad.. i mean.. who the hell has things that thin yet wide (or whatever) press a and K without hitting the other buttons....
