DARK SOULS 2- Praise the sun

never knew that, always assumed that you'd get back up into the flames and still die lol

I am not a hundred percent sure but from my experience i think this is how it works:

It hits 3 times. If the first one hits you the third one will also and you die no matter what. But if the second or the third one hits you will survive with little health if flash sweat is active and you boosted your hp and fire defense as much as possible. After that you have enough time to heal yourself completely even if you miss one chance to attack the dragon.

At least this was the case in my battles.

Finished
Not enjoyed it as the first DaS, but still awesome (offline,as i ever do) experience

Not attached as the first Rodario, but still proud of my pimp

No helm, no uber armors, no suppah boss weapons, fuck magic (and fuck clerics!©)

Dragenleic sword, gloves, boots. Pimp Lucatiel jacket. Mandatory ex-Pharis hat. Basic heavy crossbow.
Lot of two handed assaults, switch to one-hand, fuckton of rolls. Sneaky bitch bolts guerrilla and run for my life. Estus Gatorade ever ready :D
All played with survival instict and cowardice
Delicious :D

Now that i've done it with style, i can get herp derp and restart trying to build usual boring uber dark warrior mage swordman bosslike motherfucker demon :D

Someone I subscribe to on YouTube made a video about it
PS4 exclusive, so I'm uninterested

Finally they showed something of it

Not so sure about new setting, i already know i'm going to miss the full medieval atmosphere.
But still, can't wait see more.

I hate Pharros cause of the water, Grave of Saints is cozy and maneuverable.
Wait times are really long though, I wish you could do something while you waited or could be invaded there.

I forgot about that shield. I never pay attention to small shields. Kappa now I have something to go with my mundane build
the only real downsides to it compared to the greatshield are that its other defenses aren't nearly as awesome (i think it's like 40~50s all across the board except magic) and the stability is kinda bleh. but having a light shield that can block magic pretty well and parry them MLGS R1 spammers is pretty good. also random spell parry, but i have yet to do one in pve or pvp though.

Also rolling r1 mundane santier spear into avylen combos. Not sure if they can escape it. I thought of making dual mundane caestus but I figured that would be too much of a scumbag move. Opinions? Kappa

Yeah I didn't pay attention to the magic shield due to its stability and I suck at partying. Primarily why I use rebels greatshield

So has anyone here abused backstep parry yet in pvp? its pretty silly tbh lol Its basically a glitch where as soon as you press the parry button you immedietly press B to backstep and with this you dont ever have to learn parry timings since backstep has an invincible frame i think? just not as much as roll. But still, with this its pretty difficult for anyone to punish a backstep parry.

fuck all of that

I'd forgotten about this thread.

So I learned a while back that Soul Memory has a cap, and Soul Level doesn't matter at all for matchmaking...
So... ... ...level 838 Mundane builds. Fantastic.

I think SM should be gone. Im even lucky me and Jak can actually have organized pvp sessions together, but one day when our SL's get out of range all of that will end. Im not sold on the cap part as i hear people still can't play together

i don't mind SM too much, but when it's the only thing they use for matchmaking then it's a problem. if they were to match primarily by level and then SM if no one in your level range is around, i think that'd be fine. i don't really see FROM just straight up removing a brand new mechanic. they might change stuff, but i doubt it'll ever be fully removed.

also ggs btw
