Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

I think I remember people speculating that the face for that poster was actually a combination of two characters. Hitomi and Kasumi...or possibly Kasumi Alpha/152.
 
Apparently...the other masked fighter with Lisa in the Tag Trailer...is a new character by the name of Mr.Strong.

...Leon is that...YOU!?[/speculate] EDIT: Not likely....but ya never know.

it's Bass' alternate persona Mr. Strong just like Lisa's is La Mariposa.

you need just compare the two characters with their Dead or Alive 5 looks to see it is Bass.

if you disagree then show evidence confirming/showing that the two are different characters.

notice how they introduced Lisa's character as La Mariposa despite all of us knowing it actually Lisa...it means Team Ninja is sticking with alt character names and won't "spoil" their identities.

@ Jet Set picking up DOA 4 Is A must if you want to have even a small fighting chance when DOA5 comes out. DOA is a game in which people will destroy you if you cant hang. You need to know everyone's combos so you can counter them, and anticipate their attacks (because everything is really fast). + DOA 4 like all DOA tittles is a must own I think because of it's beauty.

And the music video endings; :D which I would describe as a sorta of Avant garde anime music video. Which is actually genius if think about it. If it were actual little movies with plot you would get bored watching them after the first few times, but this way they are sorta of timeless.

that style is overrated and is flawed. we have kick boxing which is more realistic for fighting overall martial arts styles. Steve in Tekken was stupid.

Steve was stupid lol...ok he is stupid in SF X T but not in TEKKEN!
Just watch Rain (from tekken crash season) his steve, then ya know what i mean.

i meant his fighting style. not the competitive aspect. if you put a straight boxer against a martial artist then the boxer is at an immediate disadvantage. they don't use their legs.

Its a huge topic were we can go on and on Boxing vs MMA, so its ok!
-I say..it would be cool if we have a boxer in DoA.
-You say....Boxing is stupid(or ya dont like it, call it as you like).

We shouldnt talk about Realistic chances, this is a Game after all ;)

No it won't. Stuff that works defensively in DOA 4 does not work in 5. In addition to holds doing way less damage, there's less opportunities to hold out of stun. That, and unlike 4, 5 has force delay again in stuns, meaning that you can't hold out immediately. Also, free canceling and string delay means that offense is pretty strong. Once you get in, all you need to do is work to a sit down stun or critical burst to and work towards 50% damage of a combo your opponent cannot hold out of.

If you want to get good in 5, play DOA 3.1 or VF5FS.

This is a game, whether or not a style works in real life doesn't really matter.
