DOA5 is my first DOA game and I know I don't have much room to talk but... From what I've read on FSD, Helena wouldn't really be that great if she didn't have her pressure and P/FT's. They nerfed a lot of her stuff supposedly. I'm sure a way that could help you deal with her P/FT'S would be to learn all of her handslaps moves and how to counter them (i.e. 33P4P would be a mid punch hold).

P/FT's would make any character really good. but i still think Jahn Lee needs a hard nerf.

dude. Jahn Lee is the mits of DOA5. but i think he's worse. imagine 2KB but two versions of it. Jan lee has many guaranteed setups as well as having tremendous damage output. Just picking him wins you half the battle.
 
You need to use her crushes more like 33P, P+K, and bokuho duck. BKO will avoid his dragon gunner, and the duck will avoid his entire mid/dragon stance game. Not to mention your 2H+K or SS K which puts you at advantage to come in with BKO and launch more.

Not saying he's easy, just saying that your character has enough tools to get around his bullshit and place your own bullshit on him.

i do pretty well against him with Pai Chan. i think it's only because i'm a good player that i can beat most jahns. if Pai can't do it then i pick Kokoro. if Kokoro can't do it then i pick Tina. if for some miracle they beat all three then i'll just say, "screw it" and pick Jahn lee too and show them how easy it is to win with him. I've never lost with all 4 characters before. it seems like i should pick up a high tier character instead of all these mid tiers and the low tier one.

oh and jahn lee's 66T mixup is one of the easiest ways to win in this game, i swear. you can go a whole match spamming that and mixing up occasionally and you'll still win because that low throw or that 6P will setup more guaranteed setups.

if your opponent isn't backed against a wall then (3)P+K, 46H+K, PPKK
if there is a wall there then just (3)P+K P,P,P,P,PPKK

the fastest way to get those punches off is by tapping guard after every punch that way you don't identically go into her punch combo when not intended. in practice mode it should literally look like this.

well maybe not literally like this because i don't think they have those filled in arrows.
