@Ishimaru Jinrai Kinda, if you like godawful Tag matches. As for Ranked, I dunno, everytime I hop on it, I just run into scrubs or people with horrendous connections. In short, it's not hard to find lobby matches, but the quality will be questionable. I would just avoid Ranked to be honest.

Lol that seriously sounds like fun! =D But hey, isn't dropping round winning combos due to a lag spike fun???

I love to play Ranked, but sucks if you play it late in the day because then you run into the exact same 3 people over and over and over again... >_>;;

I know this is out of the blue ...but you wanna vs sometimes ??
 
After some more play and thoughts... I'm not quite sure I'm ready to play Ayane... I'm not really feeling her or her fighting style. I like the evasive ideas and thought put in, but I don't really feel the style. In my case I feel more comfortable playing to Pai's evasive play (and I don't really know what moves are useful with her) than I do with Ayane's. Does that make sense?

That's no problem dude, Ayane isn't for everyone. Thanks for taking her for a spin! But do try to post some replays of your matches, because when you complain, no one has any idea where you're coming from or where you stand and you keep ending up at square one. If you want, next time I play you, I'll post some replays of our matches.

As for Pai, I'd hardly call her an "evasive" character. More of an in-your-face pressure/stun character with a few stances. You can give her a shot but I will warn you that it is harder to win with her than Ayane. Pai players are few and far between too, but I know Codemasters and NanhouDrops have nice Pais for example.

Nifty. I was wondering when they were going to show the volume 2 collection. The Japanese official site mentions they're releasing the Pre-order CE costumes (IIRC Ultimate Sexy Edition) in Japan this week, so we might be a little ahead with the DLC in the West.

Pretty much this. I want to expand my style and incorporate more of Jacky's moves like using 4P strings more often, but I'm worried if I end up developing a habit relying on this string due to its current mechanics. An interesting element that's not well known is that 4P2K and nearly end stun extension after puts the opponent in red stun... basically Jacky has a similar (and probably superior) setup to Kokoro in that he can get to CB in 3 moves on normal hit. I just worry that I'm winning/improving because I'm abusing bugs or glitches and not really through skill.

Yeah, yeah, do whatever it takes to win... I'll just lag my games from now on...


As an aside, I noticed that the number of the Casual Collection Vol 1 costumes have some interesting additions when holding down the buttons. Momiji wears a tank-top, Akira has a hair-adjustment that removes the school-sign from his back, Eliot has three hairstyles, and Pai gets two pairs of tights and a tattoo on her leg. As for Sarah, the sound effect exists, but I'm not sure what's changing there, you can't remove her glasses, either. I'm wondering if this is just a bug like Pai's 3rd swimsuit has the adjustment sound effect without any visual changes.

I know the costume is more like k' costume, but when Ein wear that suit, he just looks really flamboyant.
