Demons souls

gonna revive this. So I ordered about 6 days before christmas from axelmusic.com

I had to import it seeing its not out in UK or anywhere in EU and i havnt seen it in any store. I know theres been a few days of no postage but its complete BS its not here yet.

Any1 else import it? How long did it take? I probably should have just got it from some hong kong seller on ebay. That porbably would have taken about 10 days.

Ok so it came this morning and I got to play a few hours after school. Feel like posting my first impressions.

It's very fun, its not as painstakingly hard as people have said (i think the reason i got past the first level without too much difficulty is me picking the royal class though which has soul arrow tho) and I like going back to the nexus and picking where you want to go next. Theres not one set mission you have to do straight away so you can always revisit places which is cool.

I died about 3 times on the first level. I dunno if its bad or good but yh twice was due to boulder traps and another was getting killed by that dragons tail thinking i was supposed to try kill it xD

Anyway I think I have that blue stone now so if any1 else wants to co op and is a low level then add me :p

Random questions, wud be helpful if someone knew the answers:

So I heard when you get a soul from a boss you should spend it on a spell instead of leveling up. So I got the phalanx soul obviously and i'm not sure wether or not i still have it to spend on a spell or if i accidentally used it to level up. Is there anyway to tell if i still have it.

Is there anyway to get another phalanx soul? Or in general any boss soul from one ive already defeated? If i've waste it does that mean its just gone?

Would it hurt to buy a random spell form the apprentice guy just for fun? It'd only be a few 1000 souls and i can always un memorize them later.

Oh and finally, what are the best spells to get at later levels, im playing a royal and basically want a melee/ magic char. Is it possible to get all the spells? Im not sure cos looking here: http://demonssouls.wikidot.com/spells a bunch of them are both unlocked with the same soul. So would that mean having to pick one over the other?

Thnx.

check your items, all the way at the bottom are where your demon's souls are kept.

You can get whatever you want and have fun with it. You'll eventually get all the spells anyway. Wether or not you've leveled your intel, and magic will depend on if you can use it or not.

Best spells imo are Soul Ray, Fire Storm, Gods Wrath, and I use Fire Spray just for the lulz. It's alot of fun.

Oh you picked Royal, well you shouldn't have too much of a problem....for now. But know this YOU WILL DIE. Magic early on makes things easy, but as you progress it gets tougher. I suggest you stay in the first realm and finish the second boss, before you move about other realms.

Royal is a hard class to start with I hear, but its fun. The first realms are easy meaning 1-1,1-2,2-1. Then it gets a little harder so get ready for that. Also soul ray doesn't really work well in the Lataria realm just know that magic is pretty weak there.

Royal is actually one of the easier classes to start off with, also it's possible to beat the game as 100% mage, I did it and it wasn't actually that hard.

You only get 1 boss soul per cycle of the game. So to get another Phalanx spell you have to beat the game then start over and beat the Phalanx again, this is how you get the spells and weapons that require the same soul.

Fire is good in world 3

Once you learn where all the traps are the game becomes really easy, I've been able to beat most of the game at soul level 25 in my current run through.

Honestly I don't know a single boss fight where being a mage is tougher than a warrior. Mages are pretty easy to use, and with the right weapons they can be a brawler as well. If you truly want to make a mage then there are a few things definitely worth getting: purple flame shield, kris blade, and monk's head. Also I would suggest investing in a crescent weapon.

SPOILERS MAYBE!

In your opinion guys.
Which boss scared you shitless? For me I couldn't fucking believe the Second one, I honest to god thought I had skipped something. That motherfucker was huge, and then all the archers...the first few seconds of that fight I was like, "BullShit." I remember after the opening cinematic I sent Enkindu some kinda of text questioning what the fuck I was about to face. lol

And then of-course the Penetrator. The name alone scares me. Before I knew you could actually rescue that fat Knight to assist in the fight, I got my ass handed to me...this game scared me more than resident evil 5.

I actually meant that it didn't scare me at all, but Demon Souls, that got me scared especially when people jumped into my game. One time shit surprised me so bad I rolled my ass right off a cliff.

so I just got to the tower knight... I got raped not even gonna go back there for a while lol, i think i hav a 6k soul bloodstain there but tbh thats probably not that much.

Any1 got any ideas what to do know? I wana get a talisman first i think so i can use evacuate and farm a few levels.

Tower Knight is probably the easiest boss in the game so you should go take him out. Just take out the archers then perch yourself on one of theirs spots. Target Tower Knight, and spam magic to your hearts content. When he aims his lance throw at you, just back up off the edge, and the attack will miss.

If you want to farm souls this early in the game then I would suggest going back to 1-1 for the red-eyed knight. All you do is get his attention, and then you lead him to the the staircase with all the goons with flame swords. When you start descending the staircase you should see to barrels in your way, and then a right turn with a ricky little bridge. Run past the barrels, and get yourself on the bridge. Now position yourself at like a 90 degree angle with the barrels. The Knight should try to attack you (make sure you are guarding), and he will charge straight off the side. Now you have 2K souls =)

With the red eye knight all you need is thiefs ring to kill him. Just run up to him shoot him with a soul arrow then run away until he stops chasing. Then creep up behind him and shoot him in the back with the soul arrow again. Rinse and repeat till he dead. Also tower knight is pretty easy just run up behind him and take out his weak ass feet thats what I do.

4-1 is also a pretty good place for soul farming early on.
Each enemy there is worth about 300 or 400 souls and they're pretty easy.
Just kill the first 8-10, evac and repeat.
There's also red eyes enemies there that are worth a bunch of souls and aren't as hard as the red eye in 1-1.

The boss that gave me the biggest scare was the 3-3 boss.
I was in soul form for most of my first play through so this was my first encounter with a PCBP.

Mage starts off easy but gets harder. Warrior starts off hard but gets easier. What makes mages so hard in NG+ is the pure fact that One mistake will get you killed. As a warrior you can soak a lot more damage.

Tower Knight is not easy WTF. You mages and your cheap ass magic.

For me this sucka was unpredictable, once you finally work your way to his feet and start happily slashing away, he jumps back and crushes your ass. He seriously keeps you on your feet, and I found myself running away more times than actually doing damage.

The easiest boss is the witch.

The witch is harder as a mage. As a warrior, you can run up to her, and then smack the shit out of her. With a mage, you need to weed out her copies, and then you really only get 1 or 2 shots at her before she restarts her cycle. Another reason why the game gets so much easier towards the end with a Warrior is because NO SPELL, not Soul Ray, not Fire Storm, nor Gods Wrath will EVER do as much damage as a decked out warrior two-handing a MEAT CLEAVER.

As a mage in NG+, False King Allant was also very hard... as I said before, ONE mistake and you are dead; I had to team up with a warrior to beat him. The warrior just ran up to him and started laying it down, soaking all the damage, and occasionally running away to eat some herbs. Yes, I was in the back, blasting the king with my strongest spells, but it wasn't doing nearly as much damage as the warrior's Meat Cleaver.

For me, the scariest boss without a doubt is Old Hero. Not necessarily the boss itself, but because of the amount of work required to get to him. That second grim reaper, with the female specters that shoot lasers out of their eyes is a pain in the ass.
