DEVASTATION 2010 - SC4, T6, SSF4, Halo 3 and more!

I wanna gooooooo :( Dont think Id be able to find anyone willing enough to use their vehicle for the drive or go splits on gas...*sighs* It seems like alot of good talent will be there. Shux! Id love to try my hand against them

Why don't you take a bus to San Antonio and ask for a ride with Nori? It's a 3 hour or so ride on I-10W.

And can I get some love for registering before the discount code went up? Maybe a drink or a stripper or something? :-)

malice last year there was a separate room hosted by ms. jenna jameson's strip club...which happens to be like 4 min away from my house. :D

it was complete with 3 poles, a "swing", multiple dancers and a horrible DJ.

So just to clarify, it's $35 to register and $50 for the tourn entry fee? And both must be done online?

The entry fee for Devastation is $35. There was a promo code posted earlier that knocked off $5 from that fee. If I was looking to come, I would try to use it to see if it was still good.

The entry fee for the Soul Calibur 4 tournament is $15, so those two together will equal $50. It looks a bit high, but I am sure that most people would want a bigger pot to play for if they are making the trip out here.

The registration for Devastation can only be done online through their website, but the registration process was stoopid simple, so people shouldn't be afraid to go through the process. I never thought about appreciating a website that actually works, but now after seeing ones with problems and wrong info, I really appreciate how well done Dev's website is.

When you go through the process, you will get a list of games that you can enter in, so you would just select the one for SC4.

Plus there is free guest registration if you want to just come and watch. So if you are someone who just loves to play Calibur or maybe someone who is new to the game, you should at least come through to watch the game played on a tournament level as well as meet the other people within the community. But I cannot wait for Dev. It's going to be alot of fun, especially since I will be there, so you guys should not miss out on this. I don't want to see in June when I post my aftermath and people be like why the fuck did I not come out to this. Get in this shit early.

Wow Malice! That was awesome, thanks. You are hired for next year!

Thanks. Can I get the hookup next year? :-)

This is the first time I am really flying out for Calibur, and I really didn't take notice to the little things until what's been going on with GAMME. And to see you guys with a website that actually works and have information, for you guys to accommodate us by moving the tournament to Saturday and taking the time out to post here and answer questions is really appreciated and makes me feel confident that I will have a great time when I come out there in June.

Ditto!

Now that the tournament is moved to Saturday I feel a lot better about this trip. I'm feelin hype because I expect to see a lot of old friends from the SC2 & 3 days as well as meet new folks. Can't wait to see you fools, and although I can't promise you that I'll give you good matches like I used to give in those games, we'll still have a good time just BSing around doing other stuff.

There's been some discussion of a team tournament, which I *think* we'll have time for after the main tournament on Saturday. With some old school players coming, I'm wondering if there's any interest in a SC2 side tournament?

drdogg...i have been talking with many players about an sc2 or sc3 side tourney, and we think it is a great idea. hell i was gonna do it on sunday if we have extra space while finals are going on for other games.

in addition i will be having a mini tourney in sc3 at my house friday night among guests for couch sleeping status. prizes are:

1st: cot
2nd: full size suede couch
3rd: love seat w/ ottoman
4th-7th: FLOOR

DK: SC3 is hot garbage. Come on man.

Lobo: Funny, I was just talking to Agustin and Chickenwing about trying to convince people about a SC2 side tourney. I can speak for all of us and say we are down for this. What do you bitches know about Cervy iBT? Nori will show you

The team tournament can be done after we get the finalists in the singles tournament on Saturday. It doesn't take that long to plan it so we can plan that the day of.

We should use Friday for side tournaments/casuals for SC4 and for the older games. I got no problem doing some BS in those games. Plus I would like to maybe fish some people who've been away from Calibur for a long time with them as well. All that needed is people to come through with some setups. I'll definitely play some SC2 since I never really played it before. I'll even play Soul Blade if anyone still has that. Soul Calibur is also on the X360 if anyone wants to come through with that. And if I had enough of that drank, I'll play some SC3. I don't care, I'm just trying to have fun.

But I'm excited to come out there. All of you guys are going to be new to me so I'm looking forward to meeting you guys and getting alot of good games in. And I don't know about you guys, but I rather be at an event where I know I will have a great time at since you can go read the responses from those who attended last year, and ran by people we can actually get in touch with and take care of our concerns.

Even if you don't feel like competing, you should at least come down, mingle, play casuals, and watch the tournament. SC matches are very exciting to watch. Plus this community is so much fun to be around. So get hype!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, Sunday is a no-can-do on side events, etc. We are literally changing the entire layout of the room (save for the stage, etc.) for Sunday. Saturday night is going to SUCK but you guys will flip out when you see what it looks like. The short of it is that there will be no set-ups available except the stage/finals ones.

I really do hope the room looks as cool as it planned and that you guys like it... or I may just cry.

Friday would be a great day for side-other-tournaments BUT I know many of you will not be available so I will make every effort to have a couple of stations available for you to use for stuff Saturday. I think we will be fine for the other tournaments... lots of stuff on PS3s Saturday.
