DEVASTATION 2010 - SC4, T6, SSF4, Halo 3 and more!

Yeah... the setup Saturday night after the tournaments are done, is not going to be fun. Good thing I'll be at home. ^_^

I would say Fri should just be casuals since not everyone will be there on Fri. I don't think we'll run out of time Sat to do SC stuff, but it's up to you guys on when you'd like to hold SC2/3 tournaments and the like.
 
well side tournaments aside...i just want to point out that DEVASTATION is getting more attention here at 8WR than it is at either SRK or Tekkenzaibatsu...more views, more replies, more interest in all aspects.

with the cancellation of GAMME, and SC4 not being included in EVO...well that means that DEVASTATION is the only SC4 MAJOR still in tact in america for the duration of 2010. this means one thing...we have to HYPE HYPE HYPE it the fuck up!

jedirobb...i know the deadline for raising our sc4 pot per pre-registration has passed...can you please update us all on the status of that?

also, seeing as how we seem to be the most interested community, is there anything that we can do to make it higher? or to help the event out?

Since GAMME is cancelled, I would like to go DEV, but still not sure, right now plane tickets are around 400 dls, that's a lot of money since my ticket to Orlando cost me 200 dls, but anyway, if I can catch an offer, I might be going.
 
Fuck it. Since GAMME ended up being a sham, I might try to make this. Hopefully I have leave around that time.
 
Dev isn't going to be the last tournament ever for SC4 or for the foreseeable future. Shit is still poppin where I'm at and Summer Jam 4 is on August 14-15 here in Philly. Come on over sometime or peep out some of the other communities and play some Calibur.

But Devastation is going to be hot though. As long as people come through for SC4, it should be awesome. So I hope to see you there if you can make it.
 
wait....we HAVE to pre-reg? I'm not going to lie, i'm going through some child support issues right now...and normally i wouldn't complain. But i just want to be sure that we have to pre-reg.

Yes, you have to pre-reg. But you have up until the Monday before the tournament. I would assume you'd know if you're going or not by then. :)

Yeah, it's a lot of players coming that I DEFINITELY want to meet and dominate coming, so I'm going to try my damned to come. Right now, honestly, the only thing that might get in my way is that I'm starting classes next month and doing them until I get out of the Army, so they may try to put me on CQ one of the tourney days (especially since there should be summer leave around then and I won't be able to take it because of school), so I'm going to have to check if they have who's on by the end of the month, though I may be able to put in a pass to avoid it all together.

Other than that, what airport is everyone flying into? What hotel? Really looking forward to this, especially with GAMME falling through. And, beyond that, they've been telling me about this weekend that I'm missing right now and, hopefully, there'll be some SC4 for me to make myself look good on there! =D

Damn. I don't do money matches (except for really special occasions), but I wouldn't mind meeting you, IFB.
 
Well we'll see, there's still time and who knows i may get freelance work to help me afford it. But I'm gonna need to pay for a hotel room at this point and thats whats killing it.
 
Dr dogg-What is the set up for tv's at the event? I saw last year monitors, is it the same or crt's? also if it is monitor what r the specks on them?
