EVO 2020 Has Officially Been Cancelled...

We reported a few months ago that SOULCALIBUR VI was added to the official lineup for EVO 2020. EVO 2019 being the largest SOULCALIBUR tournament ever, it was nice to see VI get another year at the premiere event. Unfortunately, due to complications caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus, the event has been officially cancelled. This was just announced on the @EVO twitter.

 

That's a bummer. :( Though, I think it was the right decision for health reasons. I'm hopeful for the remark about "bringing the event online." (Yes, I know hope only brings disappointment , but I'm going to stay hopeful anyway, heehee!)

 

I expected this to happen honestly. I'm not surprised or disappointed. But I am pretty worried about the event being online. Just....no

 

Eh, at least, having the event online will mean it's easier for people all over the world to watch/take part in it! Still, I really hope the COVID situation will get better and allow the next event to be organised physically.
