Games with not enough attention?

I must be the only person on the planet that actually misses Tech Romancer for the Dreamcast. I curse the day I somehow lost hold of my copy of it.

Fighting Games

One that doesn't get much play would have to be out of Battle Stadium D.O.N ( Dragon Ball , One Piece and Naruto) I'm not a fan of none of the shows but this game is really good. It's alot like smash brothers, but with anime characters and no glitches.

Another good one is Bleach Blade Battler's Second, again not a fan of the show but this game is pretty great and it's four players.

I would say Battle Arena Toshinden - The original sword fighting game and creator of ringouts - but another one is already being made.

RPG's

Grandia 1 - forget the others. I really wish that they would make a part two, correction a reall part two to this game. If you haven't played it get it for the ps1.

Legend of the Dragoon - part two to this game needs to be made as well, I believe this game was way ahead of it's time. ( also for the Ps1)

Ico? KOTOR? FFT? And yet Beyond Good and Evil isn't in here...

I definitely agree with VF and Tactics Ogre, though. The latter shits all over FFT.

Thats what I'm talking about. I had to sell all my games recently (moved, no space, you know the deal) and before I planned on it I kept every single game I ever owned. I found Battle Arena Toshinden all the way in the back in that bigass black case all the old launch games came in. Memories!

Oh by the way HELL FUCKING YES to final fantasy tactics. As I said in an earlier post somewhere on these forums, the new fft for the psp pretty much made me jizz my pants. That is all.

Now it is. Though wasn't KOTOR pretty popular?

Beyond Good and Evil
Lufia and the Fortress of Doom
Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals
Dark Cloud 2
The Longest Journey
Dreamfall
Vandal Hearts
Suikoden I-V
Tales of Legendia
Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Soul Blazer
Star Ocean 2
E.V.O. Search for Eden

Fuck yeah Soul Blazer, E.V.O, Legend of the Mystical Ninja and the Lufia series. And yes Shenrei, my point is that KOTOR was plenty popular for an RPG, which means it doesn't belong in here.

Anyway, some... no, many of you need to read the title before you go posting games. Dunno why you're putting Final Fantasy Tactics Or the first Rainbow Six as unrecognized games. I'm not saying they're bad, but they certainly didn't suffer from a lack of hype.

Edit: I retract my statement of Tactics Ogre shitting on Final Fantasy Tactics... Instead, I say that it shits on every subsequent strategy RPG.

Shenrei is god for mentioning Dark Chronicles aka Dark Cloud 2.

That has to be the one RPG I can constantly play through again and again and never get tired of it.

Also, did anyone mention Skies of Arcadia yet? It was for DC and then ported to the GC with some extra shit added. That game was awesome shit. After seeing Valkyria Chronicles, I have no doubt that if the same team made a sequel to Arcadia, it'd be fucking epic.

Dreamfall

NO. Just fucking no. Terrible game. The entire fucking storyline is totally unresolved and half of it has nothing to do with the end or anything really leading up to it. The whole story really doesn't even fit together like the writer hit a dead end and somebody else started making shit up to try to get the game into a sellable condition, which IMO they never succeed in doing. The real world areas were pretty interesting but the fantasy stuff was terrible and totally irrelevant. Characters are also poorly written and they make terribly stupid decisions. After finishing this game with my friend(we played it for most of 2 days) we agreed that the game belonged in the trash broken to pieces. If anything this game deserved less attention, at least it certainly should not have gotten my attention.

wasn't skies of arcadia a relatively popular game? I don't know why but I thought it was... mhee. still a good game. played on the GC.

I saw Skies or Arcadia at a friend of mine once. I know it's an RPG and shit, but he got into a random battle on top of a riding train.

That was so lame, I dropped my interest right there.

*shrug* FWIW, I enjoyed it and had fun playing it. I thought it was great. If you *have not* played The Longest Journey before playing this, then yes, I could understand how the story could be obscure as Dreamfall is a continuation of that game.

how old are you dully? I remember commercials about the OTHER final fantasy series when tactics was at blockbuster. I remember what everyone else played at my school when tactics was out first. nobody, nobody knew what it was. everybody played ff7 or 8 at the time, tactics was in its own world and nobody knew about it. it sure as hell deserves to be here, and I'll fight that to the end.

Huh, I heard all sorts of stuff about it way back when... By now, however, I'd say that many more people have a place in their hearts for FFT than FF8... and I'm not getting into another FF7 debate, ever. Anyway, I hope you didn't take my saying that Tactics Ogre shits all over other strategy RPGs too seriously. Its just my personal opinion, after all.

no no I don't care about what shits all over whatever else. I'm just saying, it was not hyped at the time and its far more a cult classic than anything else.

and as far as skies of arcadia goes, I'm going to say anything from made for dreamcast should be in this thread.
