What sorts of things most accounted for what characters you ended up playing most often. For me, it was mostly aesthetics. Characters in SC have such long move lists that it would take forever to experiment with all of them. Then I would try a few of the cool/hot looking characters, and whichever one seemed to perform impressively when randomly mashing buttons became my main.
