I play Guilty Gear because I like to feel bad about my execution.

BTW, whats everyone's favorite color to use when they pick there character?

Dust costume, ever since #R. The clothing colors change, but it's all about tan Millia. xD

GG , specifically AC is arguably my favorite fighting game.

I actually find the execution to be pretty simple in GG compared to many other 2D fighters. GG is really relaxed with execution, so I find it much easier to do a good combo in GG than extremely hard to do SF3 3rd Strike Links.

It is complicated, but I find that most characters can do very similar kinds of combos. Most characters have the same jump cancellable moves in the air for air combos.

Anji was my main. His awkwardly flamboyant nature and brutal wakeup games make him a great deal of fun to play against characters that don't have reversals. I just liked the clear offensive feel for GG. In SC, I am very safe player, often passive. GG is a game where going on the attack is necessary and the most passive you get it a spacing rushdown.

My favorite part about the game is how completely momentum based it is. At any point, a good player can come back and rock you. Perfects aren't very uncommon in GG on either side, especially against a good Eddy.

Reload colors tend to be my favorite. Doesn't get any better than blue-haired Jam. Jam will always be ma main (peep da avvy baby!). Potemkin I play to tick people off badly. Still working on major comebacks with him. Sol I had to learn because I lost a bet. I like Dizzy's personality but haven't played her as much as I should have. Interested in Millia and Chipp but haven't played GG in a while. I feel good just getting SBs on the CPU lol.

GG is probably my best fighter. I can't say I'm a pro because I'm not very good at execution to my knowledge, but I'm not a scrub either, so I only enter tourneys for fun. I use Faust and Jam as my mains- love their combos, which is why I find this game to be so damn cool. Gotta say though that I hate it when Sol users dominate. They seem to use the same combo in repetition with no change ups.

If they're doing the same combo, you should be able to figure out the pattern and destroy them, eh? Another solution is to block the combo starter. :P

Sol's perfectly average in Accent Core. You should be able to take him.

My brother plays Sol, a good Sol, and there are only a few things you really need to be concerned with.

He has the fastest Dust in the game. Gunflame (Force Roman Cancel) rules the ground against most characters. The rest really depends on the player's ability to make a good rushdown game. Anyone that is good will have a very dangerous attack.

My biggest problem is that if I cannot force an opening, I will get hit by a combo when my block meter is flashing and lose 3/4 of my life to a combo that would normally deal 1/4 of my life.

I also never take a good reversal for granted. Sol's Shoryuken move maynot be nearly as good on wakeup as Ky's or Robo Ky's, but it still halts some anti throw wakeup games.

Firstly, Robo-Ky has the fastest Dust in the game, not Sol.

Secondly, Sol's DP is the best in the game. It has the most frames of full invincibility and also has a knockdown (I know, Ky's does too, but Sol's is generally more reliable).

Finally, my experience with GF FRC rushdown is that it's fairly easy to 1Fj out of if done any sort of distance away.

Haha, nice thread title. I like Guilty Gear, but I stopped playing after Slash. I had no one close by who could help me level up, and practicing I-No combos got old after a while.

When I first started, I played Baiken. Then I played Zappa.. Now I just play Slayer because it's fun to annoy people. Old GG machines are OLD.

This is the only 2d fighting game that was harder for me to learn, which I give respect for it. I play Sol, Chipp, Baiken, and Jam. It's great, but no people to play with.

My GG alias is Boss been playin gear competetively for the last 2yrs. I play Slayer and Venom but since SCIV has come out, learning and play it has been my main focus.

Yeah, I'd say Guilty Gear is the hardest fighting game to learn from the ground up, PERIOD. So much you gotta learn about the system before you can even think about mastering a character, but don't let that stop you. If you really want to learn it then by all means do. It's an awesome game that's very fun as well as balanced.

I've been playing it for a while now. One of my flatmates is really into it so I've had quite a bit more practice now. Still nothing above competent mind you. I just mostly abuse the fact that Potemkin Buster over-rides a lot more than it has any right to, and Anji, but I'm a bit shit with him to be honest.

Depends on the wakeup strategy, the invincibility frames don't mean much if you have a turn around air attack wakeup atrategy. Sol's doesn't stop that kind of wakeup game. Chances are that his DP will wiff since he moves forward like Ken. In general you are right, but Sol's is actually the easiest DP for me to deal with, personally as an Anji player...

Whoops, 2 Frames... Well that is different, but Sol's is still fast enough to be used in a mind game, as much as Robo Ky. The biggest real difference would be for linking into a dust combo.

The game is complicated, but I think it is not hard to be good in GG. It is much slower to pick up than Street Fighter, but I think it is much easier to be good. If you learn how to do combos and can block, you are pretty good. Being able to do that in Street Fighter barely means you are qualified to be a beginner. Despite the complicated combos and the comboing system, I still find GG combos way easier than links in other 2D fighters.

GG is probably my favorite fighter out there. I'm a Ky player (I use his Reload kick colors, the all white one).

For some reason, I find GG a lot easier to get into than games like Marvel or 3s. I think it's because all the characters feel so mobile compared to either of those two games. There are times, though, when I just completely fail to do something and it makes me sad.

I play Guilty Gear. I'm awesome.

Look in the match finders.

I found you there. Do you still play Dizzy? Since I actually became good, I haven't really played tournament. I played a little bit a while earlier, but those were more local tournaments where I got ritualistically slaughtered by Jamie Austin. Not to say that I wouldn't still get ritualistically slaughtered, but I'd like to think I can do better now.

I completely agree about the mobility of the game. Good players are very mobile in MVC2, but I do like the freedom in mobility and the options in attack strategies when using Roman Cancels and Force Roman Cancels.
