iCS/CS and SS information

I am now making Ivy my secondary...I just fell in love with this chick overnight. Do you all think that doing iCS using the analog + dpad would be viable in a tournament? I can do it really quickly that way but dunno if I should practice it.

Is it necessary to use analog + dpad? Because on my controller I just have dpad.

And another question, would you guys recommend learning iCS and CS as a noob Ivy player right from the start or should I focus on other things first?

CS yes, iCS is crazy hard so learn to fight with her before even trying it. Since I use a fight stick I've pretty much given up on it. She has plenty of other stuff at her disposal.

I have some questions about the iCS:
1: Can i just hold 2 and then do the :8::2::8::4::6::6::6: B+G really fast and get an iCS? because i can just be holding 2 for like an hour and then do the rest of the input and get normal CS, so i am guessing i am just not fast enough.

2: How many time did it take you to do it for the first time? (i am asking this because i have been practicing for a month and i still haven´t gotten it a single time, but i can get normal CS like 90% of the time).

Thank you and sorry for my english.

I think the easiest way to get iCS
is to hold 8 on stick and do 22 on dpad, then from 8 to 4 on stick and do 666 B+G
tbh chances are you are doing the 2828 fast enough, most people tend to slack on the 666 and the 8 - 4

LP:Hmm I though you only tier whore... No I am just kidding Ivy top tier.
I think KineticClash uses that method, not sure you might have to ask him directly though. But for iCS/CS all that matter is what comfortable to you, you should be able to pull out CS without thinking about the inputs and if you find a method that work for you should stick with it.

i still don't understand how you guys are using the dpad and analog at the same time. are you 2 handing it or were you born with an extra thumb? sounds silly to me.

Basically, during one of Ivy's attacks, move your right hand over to the analog (dpad for xbox controllers) and quickly tap 88 with your right hand while your left is holding 2. After you tap 88 move your right hand back the buttons while your left finishes the rest of CS (ie 4666). I say do it during your attack so you aren't open while buffering. You could also map one of the left-hand shoulder buttons to G so you can guard while performing CS this way.

First of all, yes this method is tournament viable. Second, iCS should not be your goal because it is not necessary and can't be completely buffered. Your goal should be getting CS down quick enough to buffer it during any attack/situation. Eventually, you will probably get fast enough so that iCS will come out randomly, or even more often than CS.

i think what i need is another way of practice, because just doing it over and over for hours is not helping and my arms hurt a lot, so, how do you practice iCS?

Oh, and also, does frame delay on training actually help to do iCS?

Thanks.

The way I did for any move the req input practice everytime I would I started SC I would try and do them all in a row so for setsuka before I would do every JF she had in a row, and as I got better do 2 circuits etc till it got to a point I didnt need to.
For Ivy iCS and CS in general, do it instead of overkill at end of rounds, doing the same thing, in practice trying to do it on both sides.
For iCS just try and get the 666 as fast as possible, tbh despite everyone saying it has to be clean, I've popped out iCS with some messy inputs

Did my first CS in an online match, *happy*. =)
Two circle motions really fast and I get CS and even iCS sometimes.

ok, my LAST question (because i already feel like i´m bothering you guys):

Does frame delay on training actually help to do iCS?
Frame delay doesn't help, but the fact that the game runs in a slower FPS rate in the actual online does help a bit.

I agree with this 100%
